Humans coexist with the supernatural species of werewolves, but are unaware of what they are. For humans, every pack is a separate community in that area, where only special and high class people live. Not even good wealthy humans can buy a house there. It's just not allowed.

There were in all 25 packs all over the world, 8 in North America itself making it the biggest community in the world. Every country was head by the council members, 1 for each pack residing there. Their sole duty was to keep law and order and punish those who don't follow. They were usually bothered only when bigger matters are there, like those related to rogues and hunters or probably something which affects more than a single pack. Petty matters are all taken care by the alphas.

Apparently, council members are all of alpha blood but trained to be higher than the other pack alphas. The council members are an all alpha pack of 25, called the Countcilian pack, Cc for short. Their alpha is actually like the king of the werewolf world.

The NA community was a bit different than all others. Every pack there was actually named based on its special features. The biggest, strongest and most ferocious pack is called the Fighters pack, the other packs in the increasing rank order are namely Stealth, Water, IQ, Trust, Faith, Talent and Play packs.

In general, training starts at the age of 10 in human form and goes till being 12, the age at which he/she shifts for the first time. By then their wolves make an appearance, all are already well capable of fighting in human form and can then concentrate only on their wolf form. Because of this, mates can be recognized at an early age but according to laws, only marking is permitted at that age, but complete mating is not, till the female experiences her first heat at the age of 16.
