Chapter 1~

The sleak black Mazda rolled to a stop on the gravel road, making a soft humming sound before the engine was put to a stop. The drivers door opened and Marcus Jenson placed his freshly pollish dress shoes on the ground, stepping out of the car and pushing the car door shut gently with his right hand.

He stepped up onto the side walk the oak leaves that lay cascaded over the pathway crunched under his feet. He took a deep sigh in and looked to the Sandstone house infront of him that was partially hidden by two large oak trees and one weeping willow. He hadn't seen this house for years, to be back was quite a shock to him as he opened the white picket gate at the front of the house, walking down the cobble stone path to the front door. The smell of pollen and freshly mown grass hung heavily in the air as he knocked on the hard dark wood door. After a few moments he heard  bare footsteps brushing along the floorboards inside the house as the door peaked open a jar, to reveal the face of a elderly woman in her mid-seventy's. The older woman reached into her breast pocket and plucked out a pair of bronze glasses inspecting the tall brunette male at her door.

"Marcus..I haven't seen you in years, why come back now?" she asked in a raspy old voice.

Marcus ignored her coment and pushed the door open nudging her to the side and entering the home, he trudged up stairs to a large room that was well kept just the way he liked it. The room was fully furnish with a large king bed and a mahogony dresser, as well as a spacious wardrobe and an ensuite bathroom.

"Orla! prepare dinner for me, I'm going out but will expect a meal when I return." he demaded in a deep voice. The only reply that came from the Older woman was the scurrying of her feet as she hurried off to the kitchen. Marcus left his Room and headed back down stairs passing the grey haired woman in the kitchen but said nothing to even aknowledge she was there. He left through the front door and returned to his car, clicking several buttons on the dash until classic rock began to blast though the speakers. He turned the key in the ignition and the engine started, reving the car a couple of time with his foot on the accelerator he then sped off down the subburban street.
