Illness

After about three years of Joshua being in the military, his father grew ill. He had to serve two more years before he could visit his family. He would send his father letters almost every day. He would call his mother and ask how he was doing. Almost every time she said, "just fine." He would even get to talk to him sometimes.

Joshua finally got to return home one day, with a suprise for his father. He had went to his parents house, and asked his mother where his father was. "Come with me Josh", his mother said. "Ok", Joshua answered confusingly. Josh and his mother walked over to the local park where Josh's father had loved to fish. "Is dad fishing", Josh asked. He looks next to one of the fountains only to see a grave. It had the words, "George Edison, caring father and loving husband." "This can't be true", Joshua said with tears falling down his face. "Unfortunately it is", his mother said. With a very depressed look an her face and tears falling from her eyes.
