Consultant for the CBI: a vocation for Patrick Jane

Chapter 1

On Teresa Lisbon

It was during a nice spring afternoon. Agent Teresa Lisbon, working for the California Bureau of Investigation, went to the most famous mall of Sacramento to interrogate an employee of a shop. After the questioning, she searched for the exit of the mall and took a long and thin corridor. As she arrived in the big hall, a man ran into her, apologized politely and continued his way. Lisbon was confused: this man seemed strange to her, and like he was in his own world. She smiled when she realized she found him attractive. She was not the type of women who find men handsome or attractive, as a matter of fact, it should have been a long time that she didn't find someone like him, with a certain charisma. She drove back to the CBI Head Quarters and called Rigsby to inform him about the suspect she interrogated.

Teresa Lisbon was a charming 38-year-old woman, she had beautiful black and wavy hair, big emerald eyes, a pale skin and pink lips, she was not very tall and quite thin. She was excellent in her job, and had solved many of the most important cases of the past years. She was an outstanding woman, and very brave. She was very involved in her work, and when she began something nothing could stop her. She let see her fear, her anxiety and her sadness only in the worst situations. She was very comforting when she talked to the victims' families but never forgot to ask them the essential questions. During the work time she was very serious, but when she wasn't working on a case, she could be funny and joyful. A lot of persons liked her and wanted to look like her.

On Patrick Jane

Patrick Jane was a charming man. Blond with blue eyes, with a malicious and insolent look, he had been this kind of kid who played tricks to his classmates. Always wearing a three-piece suit, he was often observed by women. But he was looking for the real love, serious, eternal. He had several gifts: observation, an excellent memory and he was very good at stealing objects. He managed to work on his brain and he could read a little in people's mind, make predictions and solve hard enigmas in a few hours. To make a long story short: this man was a mix between Arsène Lupin and Sherlock Holmes.

One afternoon, he was walking in a mall, observing people's expressions. He looked at the way they dressed, they walked, they talked, he analyzed their reactions. As he was walking to a corridor, he hit a lady, apologized and continued his way. This collision was not a coincidence: he saw something in her that he liked. He couldn't say what, but he felt something.

A few hours later, as he was taking his phone out of his pocket, he touched an item and didn't recognize the material it was made of. He pulled it out of his pocket: it was CBI Agent Teresa Lisbon's badge. He recognized on the picture the woman he saw at the mall, and ran to his car to give it back to her.
