Skylar closed her eyes and sighed as soon has the plane landed. She felt a bit queasy the whole flight to Mauritius Island, keeping a paper bag at her side at all times. After a moment the flight attendant said over the speakerphone, "We have landed on Mauritius Island. Please stay in your seats until further notice." Skylar felt like a weight was lifted off her shoulders after the attendant put down the speakerphone; ending the announcement. Skylar looked down at her wrist only to see that a minute had gone by since the flight attendant had spoken. Raising her fingers to her collarbone, Skylar began to nervously tap the bone only to look back at her wrist three minutes later. Another flight attendant picked up the speakerphone, in what seemed to be a lifetime for Skylar and announced, "You may exit the plane at this time." She slammed down the speakerphone on the wall making Skylar jump in her seat. Skylar quickly grabbed her bag and hustled off the plane, relinquishing the pit she had felt in her stomach earlier.

Huge billboards and signs surrounded the airport. "Welcome to Mauritius Island!" "Home of the underwater waterfall." "Have the time of your life at Mauritius Island's five star resorts." Skylar disregarded the signs, and blew with her first two fingers creating a ear shattering whistle that caught the attention of a nearby taxi driver. Skylar swung her backpack over her right shoulder creating a loud thump on her back when it landed. She quickly got into the back seat of the taxi and said, "Take me to The Oberoi Resort please." While settling herself for the drive ahead the taxi driver, Logan tried to make conversation but was quickly shot down when Skylar immediately put in her headphones.

At first Skylar tried to open the door of the hotel, but was stopped by the doorman who opened the door for her, when seeing her attempt. After all this is a highly ranked hotel. Service should be nothing but the best. "Thank you," Skylar responded sending the doorman a quick smile upon entering. He gave her a friendly nod and returned to his post. Until now, Skylar had not been to such a fancy resort and was not used to all the attention. She has not frequently traveled and found no real reason to leave Sydney until now. On approaching the front desk, a woman smiled and nodded signalling to Skylar that she was able to help. "Hello Miss. How may I assist you?" said the clerk. "Hi, I'm Skylar McBride. I made reservations to stay this weekend," she said while placing her backpack on the ground near her feet. The clerk went through the reservation books and replied a few seconds later. "Yes, Ms. McBride. Your room is 313, here is your key. Have a wonderful stay." "Thank you, Mary," Skylar replied while squinting to read her name tag.

When arriving at her room, Skylar slid her key in the door, listening to the clicks of the key in the silent hallway. Entering her room and collapsing on the newly made bed. Once Skylar woke the sun was going down and she seemed to have wasted the day. Skylar rolled over to her side watching the sun's light make her room light up in different shades of orange and gold. After getting out of bed, Skylar rummaged through her backpack in effort to find a swimsuit. She changed and hastily ran her fingers through her hair, trying to appear as if she had not fallen asleep. Skylar through a loose dress over herself and ran down the stairs, not wishing to wait for an elevator. Energy was pumping through her veins as if she was 6 years old, trying to steal a cookie from the kitchen. As soon as Skylar found her way outside she gasped as the sun lit up every building. The golden hour. Skylar scurried down another flight of stairs leading to the beach. Skylar walked down the beach after the sun had gone down not aware of the time.

Stumbling upon a cave, skylar was quite curios. She would not have noticed it but there seemed to be a glow coming from inside. To access the cave Skylar would have to do a bit of swimming. She threw her dress on a rock high enough the tide would not reach, and swam out to the entrance of the cave. Not knowing what to expect, Skylar felt herself falling and was alarmed when she splashed into a smaller pool inside the cave. She had just fallen down a small waterfall. Looking up and seeing a opening in the cave, Skylar noticed the moon was directly above her. The pool she had fallen in had started to bubble and turn many different shades of blue and purple. Skylar did not understand what was occurring and tried to find a way out of the pool. Trying to climb out of the pool, but something was stopping her, she could not hoist herself out as if her whole body had lost its strength. The bubbles had stop and Skylar was trying to conduct herself and not panic - knowing it would only make things worse.
