It was late at night, and I was walking home after spending some time with my friend. She did not live too far from my own home so I saw it pointless to take a carriage. My mother of course thought I was mad to walk, but, I like taking walks. It helps me relax. I halted, and looked around. The streets were pretty much absent of life, and It was a little cold. I was tired as is from being there a bit too late so I decided to take a short cut though an alley.
As I turn down the alley, I notice a faint glow ahead. A light. I follow it and soon found myself outside of a little shop. I peek inside and find many dolls sitting upon the shelves. I couldn't stop myself as I walked in, not noticing the lack of people in the shop as I began to look. I picked up a brown haired doll with grey eyes. Looking at the doll, I froze up a bit.. It looked.. So, so.. Real. I placed it back on the shelf, absent mindedly placing it in the wrong spot. I continued to look and jumped slightly as the clock in the shop tolled, causing me to turn.
I stared at the clock a moment, registering just how late it was before bolting out. "I'm going to be late!" And then, then my father will kill me!

I watched as a young girl ran out of my shop. Dress lifted up a bit to avoid her tripping over it. I watched her go. She would make quite the doll. Master will surely be proud.. "and so, I thought to myself.. What should I build you up with?" I made my way back to my shop, and noticed one of the dolls was out of place. I am about to place her where I had her, when I stared at the doll. Perhaps I should give her this poppet as a gift.. She may return then.. "Yes, that is exactly what I will do.."I turn, bringing the doll out back to my workshop, having some boxes back there I used when mailing dolls.

I sighed as I got inside, sneaking up the stairs. I made it to the landing, one foit plaxed in the next stair whe. I heard, "Young lady! Do you know what time it is!" Damn.
"Father, let me explain-" "save it! From now on, you may only go if one of the servants are with you." He said, and turned walking away. I sighed. I would have spoken agaisnt his word, but, it was late as is.. And I could always talk to my mother in the morning about it.The next morning
She woke up to her personal maid setting a box in my lap after waking me. "What's this..?"She asks, groggily. She sat up, rubbing her eyes. "Don't know." The maid responds. "Breakfast is ready, m'lady. Perhaps you could open it after?" She asks. "It's fine, Clara.. Tell father I will be down in a few moments." She sighs, nodding her head and exiting the room. The femals tore open the box and stared at what was inside.A brown haired doll... With grey eyes.
She lifted the doll out of the box, got up off her bed and soon set it on a shelf. This is the doll I saw in the shop.. Perhaps.. Perhaps I should visit again? She turned, leaving the room and heading downstairs. "Ah, finally you're here."my father mutters, as she take her seat. Her mother looks to me, "Your father told me you got home late?" She nodded. "I lost track of the time at Avery's.. On the way back, I decided to cut through an alley and got distracted by a doll shop.."She said, my father tsked.
"Rubbish."he says, shaking his head. "Oh, dear, you know she has a love for Dolls.. She wouldn't lie about them." She nodded, "I think the owner was also there.. He sent the doll I was looking at.." Her father raised a brow. "Yes, t'was a beautiful doll!"Clara says, as she refills the young girl's father's glass with orange juice. "Tch.. Fine. I guess you can still go without supervision.. Just try to pay attention to the time, young lady!" She nodded as the young lady continued eating the scone Clara had brought out for her.
After she had finished, she told her father that she would be going into town for a bit and soon left for the doll shop. As the girl walked, she thought back to the shop. Had someone been there watching? She didnt remember seeing anyone.. perhaps he saw me leaving? But.. how would he know which doll i was looking at?
As the lady turned down the alleyway, she remembered the many dolls. I can't imagine the person who created such beautiful dolls.. she thought, soon halting as she stared at the door of the shop. Hesitantly entering the shop, a soft chime alerting the keeper she was there. She somewhat expected an old woman to come in and greet her like she was her daughter.. And so, you can imagine her surprise when a charming young man entered instead. Ginger hair and violet eyes, to be quite honest, he was handsome.
The man was silent, and when shd was about to speak, he decided to, "And so i thought to myself, you were here yesterday." She blinked in surprise. "I saw you leave my shop."he said, seemingly noticing the puzzled look on my face. "Oh! Yes.. I apologize for entering when you were absent but i couldnt resist.. i had to look at the dolls." She said, turning slightly to admire them once more. "I noticed you had taken a liking to one. I thought to myself, it would make a good gift to someone who admires my work." She blinked in surprise.
"So you made all of these dolls? And you sent me the one?"She asked, and then smiled. "Well, thank you. It was very kind of you to send me the doll. I happen to collect them.."She added, politely thanking him.
"Seems i forgot my manners.. i'm Amelia Hayward." she introduced. "Drocell Keinz, and so i thought to myself, i am pleased to make your acquaintance."
"I'm pleased to make your's as well, Drocell."Amelia responded. Amelia glanced around, and soon noticed a few new dolls. "Oh, i didn't see these before." She muttered as she turned and went to view them. "I placed them there today.." Amelia glanced back to the male and offered a smile, "well, i am sure they will be bought fairly quickly." The dolls were beautiful, it was hard to imagine that they wouldnt be bought. "Actually, Miss, few enter the shop after the owner was.. admitted." His words caused a frown to replace her smile. That's terrible. "Well.. i don't have a red-haired doll.. perhaps i'll buy this one."she said and picked up the ginger-haired doll that had beautiful green eyes. She turned. "If you don't mind?"she asked, smiling softly.
"Of course, Miss."
He had wrapped it for Amelia, so she wouldn't have to worry about it breaking. "Thank you. I may have to direct some of my friends here. Your dolls really are beautiful."She complimented once more. I know some of my friends would love his dolls. Specially Avery!
