Time

Oh, how the wheels turn
And the cycle begins again
I know that I'm not the hero
That I wished I would be back then
But even an aching body
That the sands of time have worn down
Can still dream just like a child
A smile won't always turn to a frown

The weariness and decay,
And the sighing and yawning too
I can still get through that
If I know that it's for you
I just don't want you to worry
Please trust me when I say I'm okay
And whether it's true or not,
You'll have to find out another day

Get caught in a doomsday dance with a black cat
And stumble through future and past
Honesty always goes first, but
The lies are going to last
October is only fun when it's over
But it never feels like it will end
It's filled with sadness and destruction
That only November will mend

After all, when bad luck runs wild,
And there's no gem to be found,
What will the clock's hands revolve around?
