"Doctor, what made you think we were criminals?"

Major Manik Malhotra asked me in a sarcastic tone, making me feel guilty about my action as I was praying to God to rescue me from this complicated situation.

"Woh...actually...Ermmm..."

I stammered but Major Cabir Dhawan came to my rescue

"Come on Monster M! She got confused as I was calling you Monster again and again! Aur itna bhayanak naam toh kisi gunde Ka hi hota hai na? "

With this he guffawed, while I and that Monster M stared at his face and he stopped and made a serious and stern face and spoke to me.

"Don't worry doctor, he is Monster only for the criminals not for beautiful ladies like you!"

He flirted with me and I smiled on his way of flirting while that Monster M gave a sigh of disbelief, and just rolled his eyes on us. Pretty much, arrogant he is, isn't it? But he has everything to be proud of, charming personality, killing looks, perfect body, an aura to impress, husky voice to melt anyone with its fire, just everything !

The police people also smiled and get out with Major Cabir Dhawan but Major Manik Malhotra stays much to my confusion as I cringe my eyebrows to him to get the reason.

"Errm, I am really very sorry for the misidentification! And don't worry, as soon as the patient becomes fine, I will let you know, you may go now!"

I spoke and he looked pretty much uncomfortable and had some hesitation which was clearly evident from his body language.

"It's absolutely fine, actually I wanted a First Aid box, if possible? I got wounded while catching this thief, so.."

He said shyly rubbing his hand at the back of his neck and he kinda looked cute while doing so,I nodded and made him sit at the chair nearby and went to fetch it up.
I asked him to show his hand but he shook his head, and I frowned in response.

"Don't worry it won't pain much, where is the wound?"

"No, actually It would be better if you give this to me, I will apply it."

"It's absolutely alright,Major! You're scared na, that it will pain? I promise you nothing will happen!"

" Doctor, you aren't understanding! My wound is at the back, above my waist, there is no issue of pain here!"

Oh freak! You're so dumb Nandini, how can a soldier be afraid of pain when he risks his life everyday for the country! Silly you!

"Ohh! But how will you apply it there? Your hand won't even reach there, I will manage it."

"Okay, as you wish!"

He suddenly got up and started taking off his shirt and I just looked at him in shock and awe as my mouth shaped in a perfect O.

"Hey, what are you doing?"

"Aap ointment shirt ke ooper Se hi lagaengi? "

"Nahi toh.."

Happy realisation Nandini! I don't understand why I act so dumb some times! He resumed his work of taking off his shirt and I just looked the other side to escape the awkwardness that was slowly taking place between us.  He took off his shirt, and there comes another layer, his red vest. He took off that also, and gestured me apply. I saw the wound, and it was deep. Of course, it had to be. If a soldier is worried about a wound, it had to be serious. I hesitantly, and slowly dipped cotton in the antiseptic solution, and started applying it to his wound, as soon as it touched his bare skin, he hissed, and I got nervous.

"Don't worry doctor, continue . Ab aadat hogayi hai, it's okay."

He replied to my nervousness, but how did he came to know that I was nervous? I just nodded and applied the antiseptic solution and then slowly applied antiseptic cream to soothe the pain. As my fingers touched his bare back, a spark was exchanged between our bodies. It signified that something was there between us, like something was meant to be between us.

He turned his face to me, as we both looked deep into our eyes, lost in the deep sea of another's eyes. And then as usual, I had to do something silly or stupid.

"Hogaya."

I spoke and broke the EyeLock as I closed the tube of the cream. And he also, just looked down and wore his vest and then shirt. He got up front he chair and I smiled at him.

"Sorry, I misunderstood you, I am so silly na, main kuch bhi karne lagti hoon!"

I spoke to relieve myself from the guild of misunderstanding him. He also gave a small smile.

" It's okay, your intentions were not wrong, you were just trying to help police, waise bhi misunderstandings sabke saath hoti hai. By the way, if you don't mind, can I say something?"

"Yeah, sure?"

"You're beautifully silly, I mean you do mistakes, that are silly but you do them beautifully. "

"Should I think it as a praise or insult?"

I was furious, was he trying to tell me, I was silly? But I only accepted this fact in front of him, my fault,as always!

"The choice is yours, Doctor."

He winked and was leaving the room when he turned again and said

"Do one thing, remove silly and the last two words from beautifully from the sentence I said to you, that's what I meant. "

Before, I could think anything he left the room, and I stood their thinking. If I remove silly and the last two words from beautifully , it says "you're beautiful!" He meant to say, I was beautiful
! Did Major Manik Malhotra tried to flirt with me? Screw tried, he definitely flirted with me !
