|1| River Kingsley?
I was currently trying to pay attention to my best friend Raven, who was ranting about our biology teacher. Saying that she was stupid. "She doesn't know anything with her white bitch ass. She thinks she can tell me what to do haha funny, right?" I chuckled.
"Cool it, with the cursing." Raven rolled her eyes and continued her rant. This is what I love about Raven. She just doesn't give a shit about people and what they think about her. She's the type of person to tell someone straight up what she thought of them.
Suddenly Raven was cut off by our other friend Frankie. She ran to our table wheezing and panting. "You good?" Frankie held her index finger up. Raven looked at me. "Kizzy I must be seeing things, Frankie did not just put her nasty finger in my face." I chuckled as Frankie continued to try and catch her breath.
"Oh my god, guys guess what!"
"Is Obama getting another term?" I asked sarcastically which made Frankie glared at me.
"What is it, child?" Raven questioned.
"Guess who is coming back to Riverbank High to finish their last year of high school!"
"Oh god, please don't say Oliva Myers. I hate that bitch she put a frog in my hair in 3rd grade."
"Your such an animosity holder," I told Raven. She gave me the 'what did you just call me' face. "You hold grudges."
"How would you feel if someone put an evil deform of a creature in your hair." She argued.
"Can you guys shut up for a moment please." Frankie snapped. "River. Freaking Kingsley is coming back."
"Wow," Raven commented. Frankie started to become irritated. "River is coming back you can at least fake your enthusiasm."
"Omg, no way!" Raven squealed making Frankie roll her eyes.
"Who's River?" I asked trying to steal a chip from Raven but she slapped my hand. "Ouch." I rubbed my hand.
Frankie gasped. "How in the hell am I friends with you guys." Raven sighed. "River was the 'bad-boy loner'. He was and I quote 'so freaking hot' but nobody had the guts to approach him because he was and I quote again 'so freaking scary.' Anyways during the sophomore year, he and Jake Summers got into a fight and River almost killed him. So he got sent to a Juvenile Detention Center. To be honest, Jake deserved it. If River hadn't beat him up I would have."
"How haven't you heard of River. He is the hottest topic for the past two years." On cue, the bell rang.
"My theory is that he wasn't relevant enough for me to care who he was." With that, I walked to the library since I have a free period.
I greet the librarian as I walked in. "Oh, Kizzy your just the person I wanted to see." I raised an eyebrow. "Well, tomorrow we have a new student joining us for R.T."
"Permanently?"
"Most likely." She responds.
"Cool. What issues do they have." Ms. Rose chuckles.
"He's a bit of a trouble maker."
"He?"
"Yea, he."
"Oh cool. Well, I'm going to my normal spot." I don't need to study but I'm not a fan of people so I like to stay in the library. It's like my 'safe spot' where I like to read especially since my seat is by the bay window. Anyways I never understood why I like to read. To be honest as a child I hated it. But as I grew older books became my imagination. It's hard for me to understand feelings and emotions. I don't know how to read it but when I read it's kind of like a gateway drug to happiness and feelings. A lot of times I can relate to the main characters especially when the main character is extremely awkward.
The rest of my free time I spent reading and spacing out, but one thought never escaped my head.
"Who the hell is River Kingsley."
