Chapter 4: Amegakure

[Aiegn's POV]

We got to Amegakure with no incident, but when we got to the gates, my legs gave way, I feel to the wet ground, water pouring over me relentlessly. Wow, I didn't even feel my chakra level get lower. I checked, and i was so shocked, it mustve been showing on my face because, my brother was quickly beside me. "Idiot. Didn't you feel you chakra level go down?! You shoulda told me it was getting lower."

"Thats just it. It hasnt gone down that much. Besides all I did this entire time was walk so I didnt check." Ok now I was bordering on panic mode. "What do you mean? I cant sense you at all. normally, Even without trying, i could sense you. I thought you were just messing around your chakra control again." Oh Jashin. Remember that border I was talking about? Yeah? well now it completely gone. Who or what could be this strong to severe the link between me and my brother?

Sensei was talking to them, and bidding them farewell. When she was down, she came up to us. I was standing still, slightly slanted to the right, leaning on Huey. The village was in levels, The first level was the entrance, of-sort, the second level was filled with tons of shops, for weapons, clothes. There were also restaurants. The place had colourful skyscrapers, it was designed and seemed to be made fully of pipes. and even though the rain was pouring down hard, with no sign of letting up, white birds filled the grey-clouded sky but they look like papers? how can paper survive this rain?

"Maybe we should stay for a day or something. Till your better" We nodded, I could see she was curious. We rented for one room in the first available inn, on the third level, that we found, a double bed and a single. "Hey, im gonna go look around the village, for what I could buy as souvineers. Once you feel better, feel free to have a look around. Ill be back around the usual time" It was a code. as in ill-be-back-in-an-hour, if not, assume somethings wrong. "Ok" we both said." See ya later. " then she left, her long dark hair fluttering with the breeze made by the closing door. "Uey, Im gonna try to sleep, that was one long hike!" I pulled out a sheet of paper, so did Huey, masking it by a loud yawn and slight creek of the bed as i bounced on it. We placed a paper on all sides of the room, including the ceiling and floor, and did our handsign. Then I screamed, my voice filled with fear. We waiting for a minute after my 30 second scream, when no one came, we began our conversation.

[Huey's POV]

That scream. We've done this lots of times but her scream always makes me panic. its a reminder of that night. And every night that she would wake from a nightmare. After making sure that the seal worked. "Any ideas?", she asked.

"Are you malfunctioning?" I joked , after my mini panic attack, trying to enlighten the mood.

"Do I look like a toy to you!?!" she shouted, i swear if it wasn't for the seal, the whole village would have heard.

"Keep shouting, youre gonna cause my eardrums to malfunction. Counter jutsu?"

"Maybe, but who can be that strong to make me lose control. And severe both sensei's and your link?"

"Who knows. hopefully we find out soon and without anymore incident"

"Highly doubt it. Something like that can't be done by accident"

We stayed quiet after that, me dwelling on what had happened. Aiegn.... who knows.

How did they do it? Who did it? more importantly, why? I looked over at Aiegn, she was so still. I still couldnt feel her presence and sitting in the shadows made by the moon like that, i almost forgot she was there. Almost. I was still her brother, even without the link, and I can still catch glimpses of her senses every now and then. Very faint, and flicker fast.
