[Chapter 1]
From where I was standing I could hear the loud and joyful crowds cheering my name over and over again. I couldn't help but smile at the sound of all of their voices combind. It really was a great feeling being rejoiced over by people who really didn't know that much about me, but loved the part of me that they knew everything about.
Underneath the stage, I was sitting on a stool getting the last touches of my make up done. Janiss always knew how to make me look gorgeous, and I really appreciated her being with me at every concert that I had. She was a bit like my best adult friend, and knew everything about me, good or bad, I shared everything with her.
"Alright gurlie, I'm almost done finishing you up." She always took my place at being nervous. Somehow I was always super excited to go on stage and couldn't wait. "You nervous at all?" She asked taking a tissue and making me press my lips against it. I made a pop sound as I did it and shock my head.
"Thanks for wondering, but not at all." I got off the stool and kissed Janiss on the cheek, leaving a huge read lipstick smudge. She circled me for the last time to check that everything was perfect and then stuck a mirror in front of me to show me her millionth master piece of me before entering the stage. I blew a kiss at my reflection and walked towards the door. "Bye Janny! wish me luck." I waved at her as I walked out the room, and was immediately escorted to wards the lifting tube by two of my security guards.
Jason, the biggest one of the two, patted me on the back and wished me good luck as I got onto the platform. I had about thiry seconds before I would rise and end up on the stage. I smiled at myself, as I looked around to see my whole staff looking at me with impatience and for me to begin. I winked at my parents who were standing to the far end of the room, giving me thumbs up. They did that every single time, and I knew they were proud of me.
I heard someone yell that it was time for me to get into postition since they were going to start lifting me up. I sqeeked excitedly as I felt the platform lift itself off the ground, towards the open gap which was my entire life.
As my head poked out, and was almost there, the crowds started cheering louder, yelling out my name and jumping up into the air with excitment. I loved seeing all of these people being here only because they loved me. It was an incredible feeling.
As soon as I was completely in position, I heard my band begin with my favorite song, 'I am what I am." I was following each and every beat through my ear piece, and was totally into it. My mother had taught me all the dance moves that I knew, and I was proud to say it. Singing and dancing the two things that I loved most in this world, and if someone ever told me that I couldn't do them anymore, I know that my world would collapse around me.
I had been singing for the past 6 years and was one of the most famous teenage singers in the world. I was homeschooled, had concerts sometimes more than once a week, and went to special events in which I got special awards or just got to chat with other amazing celebrities. Honesly my life couldn't be any better. I had amazing parents, and I knew it. Parents who had supported me during my entire career and weren't planning on letting go.
After a couple of hours of singing and having a total blast with my very own fans, I sang my very last song. One that I had written not too long ago about one of my boyfriends. He had died of cancer last year, and ever since my songs had been revolving around him. This one was a slow song, and one of my favorites. As I sang it, I saw all of my fans dancing to it and making their arms go from side to side. Everyone knew what this song was about and why I had written it, which made all of their gestures mean a lot more than if it had been just any other one of my ordinary songs. A tear went rolling down my cheek as I looked at all of those people who came to my concert. It was amazing, and I had had an amazing night.
As usual, the very last thing I did was thank my audience. "THANK YOU L.A.! You have been an amazing audience and I love you ALL for that!!! Have an amazing night! Love you all!!!!" I blew a kiss at everyone, high fived the guitarist and then ran off the stage taking the stairs at the very far end. As I got further, I could still hear all of their voice wanting me to come back. I smiled to myslef and pulled out my earpiece.
"You were awesome guys!!!" I yelled out to my band as they came running down the stairs after me and high fived each other them with the hardest smack I had in me. My band members were definitely my best friends, and I always hung out with them when I needed to or just felt like it.
"No Nat, You were awesome!! All we did was follow your lead." I heard Jason call out. Jason was the guitarist and the guy that I got along with the best out of all of them. He was such a good looking guy that everytime I hung out with him, I couldn't help but feel proud.
"Jason, don't say that... come on! You totally know that we were the awesome ones tonight!! Come on! you're just sucking up to her now." Pheobe the pianist said teasingly and nudging him with her shoulder. She was so funny, and always knew how to lighten the mood and how to make everyone feel better. She walked over to me and gave me a huge hug. As I hugged her back, I felt slight pinches on my sides. Kean the Basist and Alex my drummer had obviously decided they wanted to intervene.
"Come one guys, I want a hug too!" Kean said with his whiny voice. I laughed out loud, and switched from Pheobe to Kean. He was the buffiest one out all of us which made hugging him feel awesome! He was like the teddy bear you would just fall asleep with, that's how cuddly he was!
From the corner of my eye, I could see Alex and Pheobe making out and getting it on, just like at the end of every other concert. I had to chuckle as I watched them together. They had been going out for a bit more than a year, and were completely unseperable and crazy about each other. "Get a room guys!" I shouted in their direction, which made Pheobe blush like crazy and everyone else laugh."Come on guys, lets go eat! I am starving!!!" I yelled out as I pulled Jason by the arm so he would follow me towards the V.I.P room that belonged to us for the entire night.
Just like every concert, my parents had order us lots of take-out and sodas which meant that we could just chill until we got bored. This time it was lots of Pizzas! My Favorite! "Now that's what I'm talking about!" I yelled out as soon as I entered the room. They all giggled at my reaction and all threw themselves onto the sofas, dibsing at who got which seat.
Watching them play fight, I thought the exact same thing that I thought every single time we entered the V.I.P room. This was gonna be another awesome night with my four best friends in the whole entire world. I smiled at the thought and threw my self onto the sofa next to them in order to fight for the best seat as well. Of course I won, and watching their faces was the funniest thing. What did they expect? I mean I was Natalie Spencer!
