A beautiful tan face shown a dark shade of red before me.

His usual glow was gone and his body language showed of anger, leaning foreword on the counter top, his arm muscles bulging.

"What?" I pretended like I had no clue in regards to his question.

He rolled his eyes and crossed his arms. "Ava you're not stupid, I'm not stupid, cut the bullshit."

I placed my hands on my hips, creating as much attitude as I could convey. He was not my father, and I definitely wasn't a child.

"Calm the fuck down Tomlinson, what's your problem?" I shifted my weight and put out my heel, angrily tapping it while the music continued to beat away.

I silently prayed that he hadn't overheard my encounter with Niall, knowing I could get in a shit ton of trouble for getting even remotely personal with a customer.

He fakely laughed, "Why don't you ask your new frat buddy? Fuck Ava, these men are pigs, not your friends, you can't make them feel special. And even more so, you can't yell at them for appearing not interested!"

I scoffed, he was being so protective over me, although it was super sexy, it was also pissing me off. Ecspecially the last comment, although every word he said was true, I was still pissed.

He ran his fingers through his long, hazel hair, frustrated.

How I had dreamed of doing that myself, sliding my fingers through his soft locks. But I shook away that fantasy channeling back my agitation.

"Maybe I did get a little mad, so what? I like to know I'm doing a good job, Also, I wasn't getting personal, I just asked his name, Jesus Christ." It was my turn to roll my eyes in annoyance.

Louis leaned forward, lowering his voice just enough so I could still hear him, but only me.

He locked his fiery gaze into my own, making sure I was paying attention.

"You were practically begging him to fuck you with just your eyes."

The way his mouth twitched into a condescending smile at the end of his words made me furious.

I threw my head back in an even faker laugh, "Are you fucking serious?" I clapped my hands like it was the funniest joke I had ever heard.

"Best thing I've heard all night." On the inside, I wasn't as comical, a feeling in my stomach pulled, signalizing maybe I was, and Louis was right, but I tried my best to ignore it.

Just another fucking customer Ava.

Louis turned his attention to a man wearing a suit, clean cut with his hair slicked over. The man had sat practically right next to where I was standing, and began to tap his hand on the counter top.

A shiny object caught my attention and made me cringe, a gold wedding band on his left ring finger.

"One Crescent special, bartender." His voice was seemed to be focused on something else as he spoke.

Louis shot me a dirty glare before grabbing a glass from underneath the sink, he quickly mixed in some sort of blend before sliding it over.

The mans gaze slowly rose over to meet mine, they were dark, like I could see through them, making me shift uncomfortably.
