The Intruder

I awoke to the sound of paw steps. "Hey StonePaw you hear that don't you?" EaglePaw whispers crawling over to me. "Yeah what is that?" I ask looking outside the cave into the blackness that is the night. As my eyes adjust to the darkness I see that faint outline of a cat. "There's a intruder!" I hiss getting up scaring EaglePaw. "We have to go get our mentors!" She says getting up but I stop her, "no we can handle this I know!" I say walking into the darkness, my dark grey and light grey coat blending in with the night. "Oh I'm lost! This isn't anywhere I know" I hear the cat mutter it sounds like a girl, once she mutters that she quickly leaves. I walk back into the cave feeling EaglePaw's gaze. "You didn't even get anywhere near that cat and it left" she says curling next to me. "I know it was so cool" I say and slowly fall asleep.

"Come on StonePaw we got to patrol today" I hear my mentor HawkTail say shaking me. I get up still tired, "ok let's go" I say sleepy. "Come on EaglePaw and JadeClaw are already up" he says flicking his tail telling my to follow him. As we walk past the ValleyClan borders I see a cat, the same cat from yesterday, she's crying and has two fluff balls on her back, fear and sadness in her eyes. Before JadeClaw and HawkTail could rush at her me and EaglePaw run over to her, me carrying a mouse I caught. "Are you ok?" EaglePaw asks her white and brown fur blowing in the winds that just picked up. "M-My C-Clans under attack! I lost my mate! I don't know where he is! H-He told me t-to run and I-I don't k-know where I am!!" The she-cat yowls tears streaming down her face. She's a ginger and white she cat with half of the fur on her face torn off along with a ear, claw marks slice across the place where her eye is supposed to be. "Are you ok?" I ask it being muffled. "I-I guess c-can you tell me w-where I am?" She asks, then notices the glares of our mentors. "Your in MountainClan territory" I say. She nods and looks at the mouse in my mouth, I drop it and move it over to her. She smiles and eats it. "Thank you young warriors" she says, the balls of fluff start to move and mew out. HawkTail and JadeClaw walk over to us, "can we ask why your in our territory?" JadeClaw asks, "yeah UglyFace" a voice calls out, we all turn to see GoldenPaw she's a real kitten at times! The she cat looks down, "m-my mate told me to run our c-clan was attacked so I ran this way I'll go" she says, "no please!" I say walking over to her, "HawkTail she can stay can't she?" I ask, HawkTail looks guilty and says "it's only up to your father" he says turning back, "the borders are marked lets go" he says. All of us follow having to deal with GoldenPaw's rude comments. "What is your name or is it really UglyFace" GoldenPaw finally asks. "I-It's BrightHeart" the cat says. "That's a pretty name" EaglePaw says. BrightHeart smiles as we walk into camp, MountainStar was talking with mother when we walked in. They turn to us and every cats eyes land on BrightHeart. "Father can she stay?" I ask as he walks over to us. "Why is she here?" He asks looking at the balls of fluff smiling, "I remember when you where this small Stone" he mutters. I only smile, "my clan was attacked my mate told me to run and I ended here" BrightHeart says looking at my father with pleading eyes. "She can stay as long as she wants" MountainStar says, "what is you and the little ones names" he asks leading her to the queens den. I quickly follow along with EaglePaw. "My name is BrightHeart and the white kit is SnowKit and the ginger kit with white paws is MapleKit" BrightHeart says laying down making the kits roll of of her and cuddle into her suckling. "The other queens will be back and you can meet my mate stay as long as you like BrightHeart" MountainStar says before walking away. Me and EaglePaw walks over and sit next to BrightHeart, "want me to get you another mouse? You look very skinny for a queen" I say, she nods. I race out of the den and grab a mouse, then I see a crow and grab it instead. I give it to BrightHeart and she eats it while telling us about her life at her clan and her mate CloudTail (that's his name right?). This is the first intruder that I like.
