The cool, fall air felt like it was blowing straight through the tall blonde. She shivered and brought her sweater closer around her, sniffling quietly.
Dinah walked down the busy streets of New York, not looking for anything in particular, just exploring the big apple.
She had only recently moved here to pursue her career in music with her best friend Normani, so Dinah honestly had to idea where exactly she was going.
The people of NYC were different from what the young woman would've thought. Sure, they still fit in some stereotypes, but were all friendly to the newcomer nonetheless.
Dinah's eyes searched along the stores on the street, now looking for somewhere to get warm. She knew she had to get used to conditions worse than this, but coming from Cali, this was Antarctica.
The caramel eyed beauty quickly found a nice and cozy looking coffee shop on the corner.
She smiled to herself, following a group of people across the street.
As she walked through the door she was hit with the overwhelming smell of sweets and baked goods. She didn't mind.
The cafe wasn't as busy as she expected it to be, just a few other customers and a beautiful cashier across the way.
She confidently walked up to the counter where the beauty was standing and let their eyes meet.
All the confidence went down the drain as she quickly became shy.
The cashier smiled warmly at Dinah, "Hello, what would you like to order?"
"Uh... I'm not sure.." Dinah mumbled, fiddling with her fingers.
The girl giggled, finding Dinah rather cute.
"Well, here's a menu, you can go ahead and search through there, newbie. When you're ready to order, ask for Camila." Camila handed over the menu then quickly shoving her hands into her pockets.
Dinah grabbed it, looking up and grinning shyly at the girl, walking over to a booth.
She sat down. "Camila.." she thought to herself, "pretty name for a pretty girl."
