All my life, I’ve been in a never ending circle of chaos. I was born into a family of assassins, therefore my life had been chosen for me. In history, my people were destined to kill… no, to eliminate and rid the world of demons. There are many types, however our target is their entire race, the ones who take on our form. Their kind has killed thousands of us, and now it’s our time to get rid of them.

By the age of two, I was already holding my very first dagger. Able to walk, I started my intensive training. I spent hours in a day practicing the many techniques I was taught. I was taught at least one new technique per day, and with my incredible learning skills from back then, I was able to master at least one of those new techniques in a matter of a simple week’s time. I began working with many different weapons as I got older, ranging from daggers, to swords, and even mastering a bow. I finally took my first kill by the age of five. It was more of a practice kill on a lower class demon, but it was enough for me to realize that my destiny was to become an assassin.

Soon after, I became known through my entire city. I was able to accompany my father on several missions. By the age of eight, I had already taken my fair share of demons, and from higher up in the rankings. I was able to enter the city’s finest academy for assassins, such as myself, at an early age. Most of the students who enrolled in the academy were at least thirteen years of age, therefore making me the youngest student of the century. I wasn’t taken seriously at first, being the shortest there and all. Other students thought they could easily take on the nine year old and beat the living hell out of him… did they ever think wrong. I earned my share of respect after a few weeks of being there, and even scared many people who knew of my talent.

Although I was the best student, those years in the academy proved to be quite a challenge. It didn’t just take me a little while to master the advance techniques we were taught, and the challenge of going up against my classmates without killing them was one of the hardest with someone with the true skills of an assassin. We had to learn that it wasn’t all demons we were after, and that we had a reason behind our killing. We had to protect those around us from being slaughtered mercilessly by those demonic beasts, and not only humans, but everyone who was targeted by them.

There was a problem, though. Only a few select of us were able to graduate and receive our codenames. When I got to start the expert classes required to graduate, it wasn’t all a walk in the park. The students I was put against were far more skilled than I thought, and all though I thought I stood a chance against most of them, I found myself lying on the ground, a sword or spear nearly embedded in me. My life was nearly taken from me several times, and if it wasn’t for the strict policy of the academy being that we were not allowed to kill one another, than I would’ve found my grave a long time ago. As heartless as I had been, however, that academy was when I met my match. I never thought there would have been someone as equally skilled as I, and it was soon after our first match that I realized that it was no longer an all boys private school in the art of assassination.
