"Bright," she remarked, looking at the orange-red glob. "It looks like what we can do." She shot a blast of fire into the air.
"Yeah." I told her, looking at the glob as well. "It's weird, isn't it? It was just discovered today."
"Yes...very." she replied. "So, what does it do, exactly?"
"We don't know yet?" I laughed. "But we bet it has uses."
She reached out to touch it. "Ow!" she cried sharply. "It's hot."
"I was about to say that." I said. I noted that her scales were a bit charred there, so I grabbed the nearest lizard I could find and stuck it in the fire. As I suspected, the lizard immediately blackened, along with making a shrill noise.
"So it can be used to char meat?" she asked me.
"Um, I guess so." I realized. "Take caution?" We both laughed at my little joke.
"So what now?" she asked. I looked at her blankly. "I mean, what do we do with it?"
"Try to kill the pests that keep killing us...?" I said. "It's time enough for payback."
"I'd say." She looked into the moons of the night from our cave hidout. "They've killed enough of us, right? I think its time to turn the tides."
