Arms brush
Eyes meet
Sudden quiet
Instant heat
Hearts race wildly

Next thing they know
Her hands are in his hair
His fingers brush across her skin
His touch is light as air
She's sinking in his ocean

Arms embrace
Hold each other tight
Knowing the moment will soon end
They keep the mood light
But their hearts dare

To dance
To leap
To jump
To keep
Growing closer

Then
Their lips meet by chance
Their stallion hearts set free
Time freezes in a trance
The moment is upon the two

The first of many
The kisses they share
So hard to keep apart
As if they've become the air
All around

The first leads on
To a future where love makes a home
He's a father
Surrounded by toys of foam
The ring on her finger shines bright

And so they grow old
Share their love with family
The roots they laid years ago
Now support this tree happily
And no fire could destroy

But wait
Rewind
Too fast
They've got time
They're not there yet

This fantasy grows
Waiting for him
To notice this little mouse
Hoping for her cup to fill to the brim
Waiting patiently for his attention

Could it be all in her head?
Could it all be fake?
This whole lifetime
Gone into the grass like a snake
Leaving her heart empty

Go back even more
The first day she saw his eyes
They called on her heart
Made her pulse rise
Brought hope

He smiled and said hello
Her laugh filled the room
How could one small boy
Make her heart repeatedly boom?
She wondered

But hours turned to days
And days to years
His sweet laughter
Filled her ears
And her heart

And his eyes
Oh how they shone!
The sun could make them so bright
Considered by some a dull tone
But to her, beautiful blue-gray
