"Sister you must take her. Please she must live." I pleaded.
"I cannot Joshua, I do not know how to raise a child." Celeste argued.
"Celeste, she is the Savior. She will save us from death; from extinction. " I replied trying to reason with her.
"Joshua."
"Please sister. Please." I cried, pain clear in my voice.
She shakily took my daughter into her hands and cradled her into her chest.
"Thank you." I whispered, kissing her on the top if the head.
"Joshua, Tanner need you." Violet said from behind me.
I glanced at my daughter for the last time before going and helping my friend.
Violet's POV-
Joshua left quickly to help our king fight off the creatures of death from advancing towards the palace doors.
I walked quickly towards my sister and looked down at my baby.
"My little Anise, how I wish we could live forever." I whispered.
I kissed her pink cheek before hugging Celeste. " Take good care of my daughter sister, make sure she knows nothing of us till her day comes." I instructed.
Celeste nodded her head in understanding.
"Go now before the portal closes." I hissed.
She gave me one last smile before going through the portal into the mortal world.
I turned around, anger and pure hatred coursing through my vains. I released the black flames from the palm of my hands ; killing any creature that crossed paths with me.
I made my way over to Joshua who was fighting off four crawlers.
I burned them all to death, creating a flame in between me and Joshua.
"It's time my love." I spoke.
Joshua turned to me with a proud and grateful smile on his face.
His red flame mixed with my one flame to create a beautiful mix of black and red.
We spoke the spell that was given to us to repeat by our Creator to deminish the advancing crawlers back under the ground until Anise is old enough and strong enough to kill them.
I imagined the moments that I would miss seeing as my baby aged into the one which would save our race along with her father's.
We would miss her first birthday the finding of her mate, their wedding, and their first child.
A single tear slid down my cheek.
"I love you Joshua." I whispered looking into the eyes of my mate.
"And I to you my love." He replied, saddness and adoration reflected in his blue eyes.
We closed our eyes as darkness closed in on us, ending our existance.
