Rob's POV

After breakfast we all seperated. Chelsee went outside to talk to Liam. I don't know how I got so lucky to have such a calm and collective mate like her. She's taking this like it's just a scrape on the knee. I still sat at the table watching her as she spoke on the phone. She sat in the chair outside looking into the woods.

Something just doesn't feel right today. I feel like something might happen. My wolf is feeling the same thing. Which is why I pretty much had Chelsee locked in my arms this morning. As I stared at her the chair next to me was pulled back and my dad sat down.

"Son, Why didn't you tell her about all of this?" I tore my eyes from her and looked at him. He had a sympathetic look on his face. But really I didn't want to have this talk. I've been waiting to have it with Chelsee cause I know it's coming.

"Dad, just leave it alone." I looked back at her and noticed she looked a little rigid. I started looking around in the trees to see if I saw any movement. I saw nothing and looked back and her. She hadn't changed her position. I went to stand up but my dad stopped me.

"Son, I'm serious. She could have died. Why didn't you tell her?" Seriously I don't need this right now.

"Dad, I wouldn't have let her die. I have my reasons for not telling her and only she will know them. I'm not going to let anything happen to her. But thanks for the confidence there dad. Wouldn't know what I'd do without you." I pushed the chair back and stood up and he did the same.

"Rob, I'm not saying you'd let her die. No one would let their mate die. You just didn't need to be afraid to tell her about it. Your in the right here son."

"I wasn't afraid to tell her!" I don't even know why I was getting so mad about this.

"Oh really, if you weren't afraid to tell her, you would have told her a long time ago. So I know you were afraid to tell her." Before I could reply to him something broke through the window and out of no where smoke filled the room. My first thought was Chelsee. I tried to see through the smoke but, it was to thick and my eyes were going blury. I started to stumble towards the back door to get outside. I heard a scream as I got to the door. I heart sank. I know who it is. They came for her. As I opened the door I calapsed. My eyes started to close as I heard her scream.

"Rob!" And then everything went black.

Chelsee's POV

"Sweetheart I need you to stay clam. I know that Rob is probably a nervous wreck right now." I've been putting on the act all morning. To be honest I was scared. I have no idea what these people are like. So I have no idea what they are capable of.

"I know, I'm trying. I'm just really nervous grandpa. I feel like somethings going to happen today. I don't know why." During breakfast I just got this really bad feeling. I don't know why but, I know it wasn't going to be good.

"Chelsee, there is no need to be worried. You have Rob and his dad there. Just calm down and everything will be fine." I felt comfort in his words. But there was still that feeling in the back of my mind that it wasn't going to be true.

I heard movement in the trees and looked around in the woods. I searched and came up with nothing. I had a chill go down my back. Maybe it's just an animal. I heard it again except it was louder and closer. I could hear Rob and his dad arguing inside, so I'm pretty sure they can't hear this.
