"Oh my gosh!" I yelled as soon as Phoenix opened the door.
I haven't seen my best friend in a LONG time and talking on the phone with her wasn't the same.
"I missed you so much!" She tells me as we have a sappy moment.
"Ugh! such girls." I hear a voice from inside the house. A voice I could never forget.
"Oh-uh hi Aaron." I stutter trying not to meet his eyes.
"Skylar" he says as he nods his head.
"So um why don't I go get the guys!" I say turning my attention away from Aaron.
"Yes!" Phoenix exclaims. She isn't a huge fan, but she likes their music and personalities.
As we walk towards the bus I felt an arm pull me back.
"Hey. Umm can we talk?" Aaron asks me.
"Um how about we go for a walk later? let's get the boys settled in."
"Sure" he replies.
We step into the bus and I introduce everybody.
"Okay! so guys this is my best friend, Phoenix, and her cousin, Aaron. Phoenix and Aaron, this is my second family: Harry, Louis, Liam, Niall, and Zayn!"
Everybody says they're hellos and we walk into the house. Phoenix and Aaron live in the house Phoenix grew up in. They have a huge movie room so I figured all the boys could crash there for the night.
About 3 hours later me and Aaron are sneaking through the front door. All of us ordered pizza and watched World War Z which I kept my face buried into Harry's chest the whole time. After being with them for so long you would think I would start falling for one of them, but surprisingly I didn't. They're more like brothers to me. They are very overprotective which isn't always good, but I love them. They see me as a sister. Liam, Louis, and Zayn are happily in a relationship and Niall and Harry are single pringles.
"Ugh it's cold out here." I say, trying to break the awkward silence.
Aaron and I have a past. We dated for a while before a very hard break up, and to be honest I've never gotten over him.
"Yea...so Skylar, how have you been?" Aaron asks.
"I'm good, California was really nice, I loved it, but missed the only two people that have been actual family to me." I say.
"Yea we missed you too." Aaron says looking over at me.
We are almost half way around the block and it's 10 o'clock at night. Dogs are barking, but it's peaceful.
"I'm really sorry Sky." Aaron says after a couple minutes of silence
