Chapter 2

Zoe's POV

I wake up to bright lights shining in my face. I look over to my right and see a doctor standing at my side organizing her utensils. "Where is Niall." I ask weakly sitting up but I get this shooting pain in my back and I wince in pain and I put my hand up to my back. "You broke your back bone. It will take a few weeks of heeling." She says. "Here swallow this." She says handing me pain killers. I take them and ask "where's Niall?" She looks down at the ground and a sad look comes to her face. "What happened to him?!?" I ask her worriedly. "Unfortunately we were unable to save him from the accident...he's dead." She says softly. "No no no this cant be." I say and start to panic. "NO! YOU LIAR HER CAN'T BE DEAD! He can't be dead he can't be dead." I spat and cry out. "I'm sorry we did everything we could." She says and puts her hand on my shoulder. "Clearly you didn't if he is dead." I say angrily.

"Zoe! Zoe! Zoe!" I hear Niall shout. My eyes flutter open and I gasp for air. I am drenched in sweat and I am panting. "Zoe! Are you ok?" Niall asks me worriedly. I shake my head and start to cry. "Zo what's wrong?" He asks me pulling me into a hug. I wrap my arms around him and sob into his shoulder. "It-it-it was a bad d-d-dream. You.....died." I say and sob. "But I'm here now. I'm fine there is nothing to worry about." He says calming down. "I just don't want to lose you." I say softly sniffling. "And you won't." He says as he rocks me to sleep.
