Chapter 1

This is it. The games have begun, the murderous rampage to decide who shall become what they believe to be God has begun. Future Diaries: that's what decides their fate. A game of tactics, skill and dumb luck has begun. But despite the ability to tell the future, something happened that no one could expect, not even 'God' himself. Something that drastically changed the future...
You lazily walked down the street, slightly slouched over. School is not your favourite thing in the world to be perfectly honest. Then again, your favourite thing in the world seems to be complaining. Yes, you guessed it: you, (y/n) (l/n)... Are British. You moved here, to Tokyo, a few years ago, losing your family along the way for... Certain reasons. On top of this, you have excellent memory but kinda sorta suck at school. You may be almost immaculate when it comes to memorising, but you're also immaculate at just not giving a shit, so you do just as the scripture says; sitting in your own little world.
When you FINALLY reach the school gates, you walk in to see Gasai and Yuki talking. Now, the only question is how long they've been this close. It's your first day at school, and you honestly don't remember what happens on what day, or atleast you can't be bothered to remember.
The morning is completely normal, nothing out of the ordinary, and it was soon time for the next period: physical education. Pausing for a minute and waiting for death's sweet touch to free you from the flames of hell disguised as doing exercise for an hour, but only being greeted with disappointment, you set out to your next lesson. To be honest, you were too lazy to even willingly move, but you didn't have a choice... How sad.
In the middle of getting changed, you felt something nagging you constantly at the back of your mind and soon felt a suffocating static feeling erupting in your brain, leaving as soon as it came. Only one phrase in your mind; Dead End.
Quickly getting changed back into your school uniform, you look outside the window, seeing 9th standing there with a blowhorn in hand and a smirk on her face.
"FROM THIS MOMENT, THE ENTIRE SCHOOL'S STUDENTS... ARE MY HOSTAGES!!!!" She said into the blowhorn, her smirk still evident. You saw Yukiteru and Yuno and quickly followed behind them, but kept a short distance. They'll definitely survive, and they're your ticket out of this.
"Yuno, Yukiteru!" you called out nicely, jogging up to them with a smile on your face. Yuno took a defensive stance in front of him and eyed you down, probably trying to work out whether you're friend or foe. You put your hand on your hip and smirked at them, "I'm an ally, don't worry. I know about the diaries." she just stared at you, still being cautious. "I could give you an entire monologue about it if that's what you truly wish, but I don't think that this is a good time for that." You finished, walking up to them. "Yukiteru, where's the next bomb?" you asked him, trying to look at his diary.
"A bomb placed inside class 2-C was detonated from afar..." you looked at your surroundings, seeing the sign for class 2-C.
"Run, Yuki!" Yuno screamed, grabbing his hand and running away. You quickly followed after them, only just making it.
"The next is... The end of the corridor!" You all evaded bomb after bomb, managing to get through almost unscathed each time. At least, until Yukiteru's back got set on fire.
"Don't worry about the explosions!!! It'd be dangerous if you didn't pay attention to what's going to happen to you!!!" You silently followed behind them, still keeping a slight distance. If this is gonna work, you're going to need their trust, so you can't invade on their private conversations. Soon, they got up and walked past a corner where you saw a boy with black hair staring at you in shock.
"KOUSAKA!!!" Yukiteru screamed. Yep, this definitely won't end well...
Suddenly, a bunch of people started chasing after Yukiteru and held him down. You felt someone grab your arms from behind, restraining you.
"GET THE FUCK OFF OF ME YOU BELLEND!!!" You screamed, struggling but not managing to escape the strong grip of your attacker.
You looked up at Yuno, seeing her get more and more angry. Fuck, she's going to detonate the bombs. You need to stop her.
"I WILL PROTECT YUKI!!!!" She screamed, starting to run off. You quickly ran as fast as you could to catch up with her in order to not be affected by the explosion. You kept running and then, suddenly Yuno just jumped out the window. No fucks given, she just leaped through a shit ton of glass. "I WON'T LET YOU KILL YUKI!!!" She screamed, wielding an axe... Wait- WHAT?! Where the hell did she get an axe from?! You saw her cut Minene, but she was soon kicked harshly in the stomach afterwards. Okay then; time to do something stupid!
You followed her, jumping out the window and kicking Uryuu Minene in the back harshly before jumping backwards. She punched you in the gut, sending you to the ground forcefully before she turned towards Yukiteru and the 4th. Yukiteru began to run at lightning speed, Yuno guiding him through the minefield as he went. He finally reached her and pulled out one of his darts. It was just about to strike her diary and end her for good, but... She moved her diary and took the dart to the eye. Screaming out in pain, she set off multiple smoke bombs and escaped with her motorcycle.
"My diary... Is the escape diary!!" And with that, she was gone. Only this half blown up school and all of its inhabitants (that Yuno didn't kill) remaining.
