...God? (Akise Aru x Reader)

Chapter 2

You awkwardly sat in the police station, trying to avoid any and all contact with your fellow human beings in a passionate attempt to try and deter the vicious beast known as a social life.
You sat on your phone, playing hearthstone and listening to Muse, trying to prevent yourself from making eye contact with any strangers through the medium of your mobile device.
Looking up for a split second to check whether Yuki and Yuno were finished talking to Mr. Ponytail, you make eye contact with a white haired boy with red eyes... Exactly what you were trying avoid.
The corner of his mouth lifts slightly and he takes it upon his himself to walk over to you, a small smirk taunting your socially awkward soul. He shoves his hand in front of your face with his once taunting smirk morphing into a somewhat sincere and reassuring smile.
"Hello, I'm Aru Akise. Kid detective." he said smoothly, his hand still hovering in front of your being and silently hinting for you to shake it. You hesitantly grasp it and move your hand, fulfilling the odd human tradition known as the 'hand shake'.
"Sup, I'm (y/n). Socially awkward teen." You give a nervous close-eyed smile, retreating your hand to awkwardly scratch the back of your neck. You hear him chuckle slightly and look up at him curiously with your eyebrows raised.
"So, what brings you to my lair?" he continued the discussion with a raised eyebrow to match the right side of his mouth, still standing in front of you and making you feel tremendously short.
"Oh, you know... My friends are in the interrogation room..." You replied, "Aaaaaaaaand I just noticed how bad that sounded." You once again go back to your classic position when conversing with a human; awkwardly scratching the back of your neck with a close-eyed smile.
"Okay, well do you mind if I sit next to you while you wait for the hardened criminals that just so happen to be your friends?" he questioned, eyebrow still raised. You just rolled your eyes at him and let out a small chuckle.
"Sure, I've got nothing better to do anyway." You let out a small smirk when answering as the boy sat down next to you, the two of you joking and becoming acquainted for the next hour or so until Yuki and Yuno came out with the 4th behind them. "Okay, Mr. Detective, I have to leave now but here's my phone number. Call me sometime!" You hand him the small piece of paper with a smile and walk over to your newfound allies.
"Hey, what's up?" You wave slightly while asking about their discussion, seeing as the 4th wouldn't let you into the room with them, saying something about it only being for future diary holders, you weren't really paying attention.
"...me and Yuno are going on a date." Yuki mumbled, a light pink dusting his cheeks.
"Wow, the police force has really changed these last few years..."
"Not like that, you idiot! We're trying to lure out the 9th." Yuki explained, his blush intensifying.
"Oh... Where are you going?"
"The amusement park."
"Oooooohhhh, I think I should come. You know, for... For protection!" You yelled, trying to get an excuse to get free food, drinks AND fun. It's a win-win scenario, ya know?
"Actually, seeing as you're involved with these two and you attacked her, Minene might be after you as well. We can't have you going alone, though." the 4th butted in, seemingly thinking of someone for you to go with. "Akise!" He yelled, calling over the boy that you spent the last hour or so talking to and joking around with. The albino was soon standing in front of the man, turning to you and giving a small wave before returning to his previous intentions. "This is (y/n), she needs someone to go with her for protection on a mission." he 'introduced', making Akise turn towards you and put out his hand much like he did before.
"Hello, stranger." he winked as you chuckled and grabbed his hand.
"Sup, stranger." You gave him a wink of your own and shook his hand while Yuno, Yukiteru and the detective just seemed confused by your odd behaviour.
