Mutant and Proud

Part 2

The image disappeared and I was looking at Xavier once again. "Are the powers you gain only temporary?" I shake my head no. Loki was staring at us, probably wondering what we had witnessed. "I see." "The powers, I copy them, I can modify them. Mold them to me, my wants and needs. They can be completely different then the person who I copied them from." I say, feeling the need to explain.
"Hmm, I do believe I need to see your powers in action." I share a look with Loki and then moved to follow Xavier. He took us to one of the lower levels to what he called the danger room. We went inside as people in costumes finished a training session or something.
As I looked around, I noticed that many of them had visible mutations. Honestly the weirdest mutation was a guy that looked like a blue hairy gorrila that was only wearing glasses and pants.
"X-men, this is Kali. She is a new student, but to help her I need her to demonstrate her powers." "Then why do we need to be here?" "You are needed because her powers copy other mutants powers. Angel, would you demonstrate."  The guy he addressed had a set of white bird wings sprouting out of his back. He lifted off and did a few elaborate tricks in the air.
My sholder blades tinged as my powers started working. After a sec the 'X-men' gasped as golden wings made of light appeared on my back. I gently lifted off and let instinct take me through the moves Angel had demonstrated. I landed and the wings dispersed in a shower of light. Xavier clapped along with the X-men.
"Exquisite! Simply marvelous, you have expert control over your powers. How long ago did your powers first manifest?" I blushed profoundly, saying "Three weeks ago. I had some help though." The X-men all looked just behind my sholder and toke up battle stances.
I looked behind me to see Loki doing the same thing. "What's going on?" I ask him, as he reaches out and pushes me behind him. ~STOP! I will not have you fighting a guest!~  Shouted Xavier through his mind, making all of us drop to our knees, cupping our hands over our ears. He calmed and continued ~Now, X-men please, calm down. I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but you were going to attack our guest and her protector. I will not allow that to happen as long as I am head master.~ We all stood and looked at him, Loki protectively close.
A dude with metal claws shooting out of his nuckles stepped toward Mr. Xavier and said, "He is Loki, the Asguardian god of mischief. We can't trust him." "And why is that Wolverine?" Asked Mr. Xavier. Wolverine growled and stocked out of the room.
A guy that was completely covered in ice said, "Don't mind him. He gets cranky around new comers. Even though, are you really a god?" "Answer the question Loki." I say, mostly because I wanted to hear his answer but I was also furious that he hadn't told me about this.
He looked at me guiltily and answered the question. "Actually I'm his reincarnation." "And you didn't tell me that you were the reincarnation of a god. And I thought you never lied to me." I say and I use a power I gained from him and teleproted to my room.

Loki's POV
I sigh, "Xavier, where did she go?" "I'm sure she went to her room in dorm section three." He responds. I nod and teleported to the second floor. From there I found her aura and followed it to her room.
I knock on the door and she opens the door. She grudgingly let's me in and asks, "Why didn't you tell me?" "I thought you would be scared of me, considering all that I've done, I'm just supprised that you didn't run away screaming when I told you." She laughed and said, "Why would I? I'm just mad you didn't tell me sooner. You're my friend, you would never intentionally hurt me."
Then she hugged me and I hugged her back, letting my chin rest on her head as she sighed. "Even though, it was a bit strange the way you reacted to my project on the Norse Gods." She said pulling away.
I smile and say, "Yeah, well I was just supprised that you picked the Norse Gods. Why not Egyptian or Roman?" "I picked the Norse Gods because I found you while I was reading about them." I blanched, thinking about all the things that happened in my previous life. She laughed and said, "Let's go meet the others properly. Oh, and no fighting."
