The Worst Summer Ever

Kayla's POV
The bell rang for the end of school. I walked out and Hazel, my best friend who I'm going to camp with was waiting for me.
"We're finally tenth graders." I said and hugged Hazel
She hugged me back.
"So did you tell him yet?" She asked
"No" I said
"He's over there go." She said
I looked at her.
"Go" she said
"He is your best friend." Rina said
She's one of my other best friends and she's also going to camp with us.
"Yea" I said
"Go to him." Rina said
Cooper looked at me. He called me over.
"He's calling you so you kinda have to go." Hazel said
I sighed and walked to him.
"Sorry we can't hang out this summer." I said
"Oh it's okay, I'm going to camp with Casey." He said
"Ew I'm goals I'm not being with you." I said
"Kayla he's not that bad." Cooper said
"Yes he is." I said
"Your only like that because you hate him...and he hates you." He said
"Good" I said
He laughed
Ethan came out with Harrison and Adrain. His brother and Hazels brother. They looked at us.
"I can't wait till he gets a car so we don't have to wait...we can just go home." Copper said
"I know" I said
"What kind of camp are you going to?" I asked
"A camp where you go places every day, but you stay in a cabin at the camp." He said
"Yea same" I said
Hazel looked at me. Rina mouthed 'tell him'
I mouthed 'I'm about to.'
"There's something I need to tell you." I said
"You can tell me anything." He said
"We've been friends for twelve years now right?" I asked
He nodded and looked at me.
"Well I like you." I said
He didn't say anything. I looked at him.
"I'm sorry Kayla but my dad's here to pick me up I-I'll see ya after the summer." He said and walked away
I sighed and Harrison put his arm around me.
"What?" I asked
"It's okay" he said
"He's hates me now." I said
"He doesn't hate you...he just doesn't feel the same about you." He said
I sighed
I looked at him.
"Look my brother loves you...as a best friend." He said
I nodded
He messed with my hair. His car rolled up.
"See ya later kid." He said
"Bye" I said
He walked away. I started walking to Hazel and Rina.
"Kayla" Ethan said
I kept on walking.
He walked in front of me.
"What?" I asked
"You okay?" He asked
I nodded and walked around him. I ran into Adrian. I started walking around him and he blocked my way.
"Seriously you just got let down by your crush/ best friend." He said
"Seriously I'm okay." I said
"I'll ask you that when he come back with a girlfriend." Ethan said
I rolled my eyes and walked to Rina and Hazel.
"So?" Hazel asked
I shook my head.
They hugged me. I hugged them back.
"I wish I could knock some sense into him." Rina said
"I'll get a boyfriend at camp." I said
"You sure" They said
I nodded
Rina's dad drove up.
"Bye guys we ya tomorrow." She said
We hugged her.
Ethan and Adrain walked to us.
"Has Ethan told you what his number one plan is?" Adrain said
"Tell me guess get the hottest chick there and sleep with her?" I asked
Ethan smacked the back of my head. Adrain and Hazel laughed.
"Hey your probably thinking it." Hazel said
"Nah he's not gonna get a girlfriend." I said
Adrain laughed.
"That's not funny" Ethan said
"But it's true." I said
He rolled his eyes.
Hazel's mom drove up to the school. Brooklyn and Amber were in the way back. They're both going into fifth grade.
"Hey" they both said
"Hey" we said
We got into the car. We drove to Hazel's house. We went up to her room. I took out my phone. I had two texts from Carson.
"Ew why he texting you?" Hazel asked
"I don't know" I said
"Is he going to camp this year with us?" She asked
I looked at his texts.
"Yea and so is his cousin." I said
"Dominic?" She asked
"I think" I said
*later at 8:53*
"Hey brat if you want fresh pizza you might wanna come down here." Adrain yelled
I looked at Hazel. She got up and I got up with her. We all down the stairs and Brook, Amber, Adrian, and Ethan were eating on the couch.
"Hey they actually listen." Ethan said
"Oh shut up" we both said
They rolled their eyes. We got pizza and eat it. We walked back upstairs.
*12:31*
My phone started ringing it was Harrison. I picked it up.
"What?" I asked
"Give the phone to your brother." He said
"But he's down stairs." I said
"Just do it." He said
I got up and walked down stairs.
"What?" Adrain asked
"It's for you." I and threw my phone at Ethan
"Hello?" He asked
I walked back to Hazel's room. I got back into my sleeping bag and went to sleep.
