I left Ben with Julius and Zander. I didn't have time to contact Oliver to clear it, and given everything that I'd caused at the castle, I was sure there would be something happening in order to clear the rubble.

When I arrived at the grounds I was ambushed by guards.

"The Queen wishes to see you." One gruffed grabbing hold of my arms.

"You should let go of me." I mumbled.

"Shut it little girl."

I yanked my arm from his, which knocked him off his feet and on to the ground. I eyeballed the other guard who took a step back holding his hands up.

"I'll find my own way to the queen." I said. "And you, you will never touch me ever again."

I stalked off, entering the castle through a side entrance. My hatred for the Queen had hit an all time high, but I knew secrets about her, life changing, history altering secrets. I had to follow he orders until I could figure out how to use them.

I walked through the corridors, making my way to the throne room. Before I got there a stony faced Oliver stopped me.

"You made the ceiling cave in." he whispered.

"She was going to kill Ben." I mumbled.

"You're lucky you took your trackers off. Where have you been." Oliver thrust my trackers into my hands. "I had Mae walking around the city with them.

I frowned, I'd put Mae at risk, which hadn't been my attention.

"I took Ben to see Julius. I figured he'd be safe there. We need to talk later." I looked around us. "Somewhere safe."

Oliver nodded. "I agree."

"The tower, ten pm?"

Oliver nodded again and walked off. I forced myself into the throne room, The last thing I wanted to do was face her, especially knowing all that I did. But i had no choice. I shoved my tracers into my pocket and walked into the room.

"You didn't have permission to leave the grounds Imogen." She boomed as soon as I walked into the room, she was dressed in a dark red dress, her lips in a thin line and her eyes as dark as the black night.

"I'm sorry." I whispered. "It won't happen again."

She stood up and walked down to where I stood, She placed a hand on my shoulder and leaned in. "I'm not sure if you've heard but the roof of the boardroom collapsed today."

I shook my head. "No." I lied.

"Yes well, it caved in, and after it caved in a man disappeared."

I nodded and folded my arms across my chest. "That's unfortunate."

"This castle is durable and tough, it was built to help ensure the rehabilitation of life on earth. Meteors aren't even supposed to be able to break the out exterior."

"A freak accident then ma'am."

The queen stopped and let out a menacing chuckle. "A freak... yes, I guess that's apt."

"Are you insinuating I had something to do with it?"

"I cannot prove either way. Your trackers have you on the other side of the castle at the time of the incident, in fact, they say you were never anywhere near hear.

"Dead end then." I mused.

"Yes, I guess so."

"May I go?" I replied coldly.

"Yes." she drawled. "But remember Imogen, I own you... and I will destroy you if I need to."

I held back a scowl and walked from the room.
I sought out Mae before I returned to my room and apologized for putting her in danger. She wouldn't take my apology, insisting that anything she could do to help she would do willingly and without a second thought.
