A person can become hyper-aware of their surroundings if stuck in a place too long. Side effects of this can include heightened senses, or maybe even just being a little off. So, you can only imagine what would happen if fear is mixed in with this environment. A deadly concoction, to be sure. Although, fear can drive people to do things they wouldn't do under normal circumstances. For a certain individual, fear is something she grew up with. It was a friend and guide to what she should and shouldn't do, but would torment her if she deviated from its wishes. This certain individual's name is Echo Bluebottle.
Echo Bluebottle was a very normal person on the outside, no strings attached. She did normal things, like drinking tea in particularly drowsy mornings, or reading yellow-paged books in the manor library. She made polite conversation at dinner parties, and made quiet jokes resulting in loud guffawing from visiting lords and ladies. In short, she never engaged in something people might call uncommon.
But Echo quickly learned that she could solely be described as simply, extraordinary.
