The beginning
CHAPTER ONE
I was laying next to the pool on one of the stretch out chairs in my bikini next to hermione and Casey and Stephan and Harry along with Ron. We were all spread on those stretch chairs when hermione started talking about going into the pool.
"I'll come with" I said getting up and walking next to her we made our way to the pool as I stepped inside the water was really cold I stepped back out and said I'm so not going into the pool right now! As I said that Stephan ran over picked me up like I was nothing threw me over his shoulder and walked over to the diving board I started screaming "NO!!" but he bounced a few times and then jumped off the diving board. I came back up out of the water gasping for air.
"GOD STEPHAN THAT WAS SO MEAN" I laughed amusement in my voice "sorry it was irrisistable" he said laughing I started swimming away when he grabbed me from around the waist pulled me close and kissed me
i pulled away shocked at that was the first time he ever kissed me. we aren't even going out "are you mad?" he asked "no I just didn't think you liked me that way" I said still stunned "yeah well I do and I was wondering if you would ever want to go out with me" he said embarrassed "I'd actually love to" I said embarrassed as well but just a little bit. "that's perfect now can you to please hurry up and get out of the water! you insolent little children shouldn't and will not get all touchy touchy in a pool" we looked up so scared an upset that we had to see the one man that has hated my friends since first year but me since the first month of my mother being dead after a house fire caused by a death eater but I was the only one that got out alive for my dad was at work and I still believe that he blames me. Now it being their third year an he still hates them is ridiculous. It was none other than Severus snape. Potions master at Hogwarts school of witch craft looking down at us with his arm crossed over his chest. "Yes master" I said sarcasm in my voice. "Don't you dare take that tone with me! I will ground you from ever seeing that Salvatore again!" He said not loud enough for everyone else to hear but loud enough for me to hear. "Yes dad" I said now acting polite "and if I ever see you kiss that boy again- he said but I cut him off "you'll ground me and make his life a living hell I'm guessing?" I said looking at him boredly he narrowed his eyes and said "stop with the attitude" "whatever dad" I said turning my back on him and walking away "don't turn your back on me" he said I turned around "look I'm going to pack my stuff tell my friends bye and we can go home because I have a feeling this argument is about to get heated very very quick" I said looking at him "very well" he said now bored and holding in his anger I walked away to the gang and said bye to everyone telling them id see them later and hugging Stephan and giving him a quick kiss on the cheek "I'll owl you later" I said whispering in his ear he shook his head in understanding with that I walked back to my dad and we went behind the pool building and appareted home

CHAPTER TWO
"Your such an insolent little girl!" Yelled snape with such venom and anger in his voice that if I wasn't his daughter and used to it I would have ran from the house"Of course I am snape because it's my fault for EVERYTHING! and I'm so sick of you treating me like I'm one of your dunderheaded students that you've been stuck with for life!" I said on the brink of tears"Because you are you stupid stupid girl! you mean nothing to me and I wish you'd just leave! I wish I'd never have to see you again" yelled snape louder with every word every wish "Maybe I will just leave then! at least I wouldn't be stuck with a cold hearted ass whole everyday of my worthless life!" I yelled now tears running down my face Next thing that happened happened so fast that if I didn't have the stinging feeling on my cheek then I wouldn't have known it even happened my dad just slapped me I rose a hand to my cheek and touched the welt that was now growing I looked up and saw my d- now fuck that snape looking down at me with regret on his face "Serena I'm so sorry! I didn't I don't know what came over me" snape said now moving closer towards me I turned around ran to the front door and ran out of the house I ran and ran and ran for I don't know how long I just kept running I ran all the way to the near by lake and say on the dock and cried and cried and cried I can't believe he hit me he's gotten mad but he has NEVER touched me physically I can't believe this I've been here maybe an hour tops when I heard snape yelling my name then I heard another voice and realized it was McGonagall also yelling my name but I didn't care I slid off the dock into the water I swam an swam and swam until I saw the other half of the lake and then I realized I must be in the middle lake and I laid back on my back and just floated there that's when I knew my dad had seen me because he dived off the dock and started swimming towards me I just laid their my raven waist length hair floating around me I heard my dad coming close saying my name so I just said what and that's when he started getting mad again "what the bloody hell is your problem? your laying in the middle of a damn lake!" he said now swimming in one place "I am so I came here one to think things over two to get away from you three to get away from you" I said still laying there floating "get out of the damn water now we are going home" he said grabbing my wrist "don't touch me snape you've already done enough!" I said mildly yelling and pulling out of his grasp "I am sorry please can we just go home and talk about this?" he said now letting guilt and regret seep into his voice "fine dad fine" I said now swimming ahead of him and back towards the dock
