Idk why brown parents are obsessed with grades.
Their logic be like if you don't have good grades you have nothing.
No.
Only A won't do.
You have to get A+ in all the subjects.
Otherwise the society will look down upon you.
I mean literally.
No exaggerations or sarcasm intended.
Getting below A+ makes our parents feel embarrassed so much that they can't show their faces in the society. And if you manage to get A+ in all subjects even if you half-died in the process....you are a living legend.
Every body talks about you.
Juniors want to be like you.
The other parents want you to be friends with their children.
I mean what the actual fuc*. There are many people who are bomb in drawing and artsy stuff. They can sing better than Ariana and Beyoncè combined. They can dance better than what you see on 'So You Think You Can Dance'. But they are discouraged and told 'you have no future' because they don't do well in academics.
I mean wtf is wrong with you people. Why you gotta be so annoying and judgmental. Why can't you just be happy for me doing nothing all day. I could be worse you know I mean at least I don't smoke weed or joints and drink.
Back in 8th grade I managed to score A+ in all my subjects ( and half died in the process) everybody started treating me like an angel sent from above and nobody batted an eye at my brother ( we are in the same year) just because he missed A+ in three subjects and got A. Everybody treated him like trash and my parents brought sweets and feeding me while he was sitting alone in his room.
It really broke my heart.
On my last year finals I couldn't get A+ in all the subjects and everybody saw me as nobody and my mom cried for weeks at the humiliation. And when my dad heard about my grades he went like,"I'm wasting all my money for nothing." I'm not kidding.
So readers....if you ever become parents or if you are parents....don't judge your kids by their grades.
Just don't do it.
Its not cool.
