Okay, I'm sorry, but I've found most of the best fanfictions are the ones where the characters never get married and have children.
Partially because its not cliche. Your OTP either comes across a problem they can't solve or the storyline ends before it actually happens. It's a way to let the readers make up what happens or make them feel a strong emotion about the outcome. Like overgrowth. (DONT READ IT EVER IT MAKES YOU CRY AHHHH)

If you've ever taken an English class, you may have heard this term. Let me elaborate.
Justin woke up to the sound of his alarm clock beep beep beeping away, sunlight flooding his now open eyes. He sat up, running his hands run over the rough sheets, onto the soft quilt, until they reached one of his bare legs. The smell of baked pastries ran through the air like steam making Justin's mouth water, craving the delicious apple tarts that his mother had made prior to his awakening.
This is what imagery looks like.
Justin woke up. He got up and walked out the door to the table where his mother was humming softly. He made himself welcome to the apple tarts sitting on the kitchen table.
This is not. While that one was good, you need detail to spice them up. ...now I'm craving apple tarts ;-;
85. Personalities
Is it just me, or does the character (I've seen this primarily in Sans in Undertale fanfictions) lose their uniqueness? Like Sans had his own way of a ting and speaking and yet neVERMIND CUZ ITS MAH FANFICTION AND I WANT HIM TO BE MAH SENPAI

Look, I understand (for all the X Reader authors out there) that you want to be with Senpai, but it's awkward for most of the readers. For instance, most of the time it never tells you how old you are and people like Stampy or Markiplier or Jacksepticeye or even Ross or Max are usually 20-30 years old and most of the fan base are 6-16 year olds.

I love how every other human in the story except for the protagonists are horrible, evil, and unkind. Even though a lot of these take place in different countries, most take place in America, which makes it even more hilarious.

There's always a convenient thing that tell the main Character that their in love with the corresponding other main character.
The funny thing is that they never just realize it on their own.

Have you noticed most names are very unique like Blossom, or Passion (:3) or Sheliah? Why can't their be common names like Sam or Alex or Daniel?
