Daylight Falling: Book One of the Sun and Moon Series

Chapter Seven

Curt was lying down on his side on his bed, trying to get some rest. Roland was beside him, with his head pressed up against his chest and arms wrapped around his body. The Moon Guardian looked at the Sun Guardian, who slept peacefully even though there was a threat outside in the real world.

Curt smiled from how precious Orzabal looked. He lightly ran his hand over Roland's face and up to his hair. He then leaned in so their faces touched. Nose against nose, forehead against forehead. Putting their heads together like this always reminded Curt of the first time they admitted their feelings for each other.

The two boys were on the edge of a ledge. Curt wanted to show Roland how to change the moon's appearance since he's always been wanting to help. It also gave him an excuse to be touched by his friend. Orzabal's been keeping a secret for so long, and he knew he had to tell him eventually, but he didn't think that this was the right time to do it. He loved Curt, but couldn't tell him because he might not feel the same.

Curt walked up from behind Roland and grasped onto his right forearm, slowly moving toward the hand. Roland's breath came to a halt as this happened. The delicate touch of his the other's hand made him stiffen up while getting aroused. "Now what you need to do is take your pointer finger and middle finger of this hand..." Curt bent the ring and pinkie fingers and thumb, leaving the pointer and middle fingers up pressed together. Roland relaxed and melted into Curt, allowing Curt to move them without effort.

Curt then grabbed the other arm and did the same motion he had done to the right one. He did all of this for a purpose. He wanted Roland to get comfortable with him touching his body. He then hoped that Roland would open up his feeling for him, because he knew Roland was head over heels for him, and he shared those feeling with him. Smith then continued on with the demonstration. "Then you take the ring and pinkie finger of this hand." He bent the pointer and middle fingers and the thumb again, and the two other fingers were straight up and pressed together like the two on the right hand. "Then you move them counter clockwise..." Curt started moving Roland's hands in that motion. "Until your pinkie and pointer fingers have met and the middle and ring fingers are aligned with each other." He moved Roland's hands to where they did what he just said. "Now, relax and concentrate on the moon and it'll change it's appearance with ease."

Roland tried hard to concentrate on the moon rising above them. It was hard though. The touch of Curt's hands on his were driving him mad from sexual frustration, yet he still managed to change the moon's appearance like Curt said he would. It was now a full moon. Curt released Orzabal's hands and Roland looked at in amazement and joy. "I did it!" He shouted out while jumping up and down like a kid. He turned to Curt and pulled him into a tight embrace. "Thank you so much!"

"You're welcome, Ro." Curt said back. He pulled away from the Sun Guardian enough to see his grinning face, but he was still in his arms.

"Saying thank you isn't enough though." Roland loudly said, but not loud enough to be a yell.

"Saying thank you is good enough." the Moon Guardian assured his friend.

"No, it's not. I feel like you need more than a simple thanks."

"Is this hug not good enough either?"

"No. I thought it would, but I was sadly mistaken."

"Well, then, how about this?" Curt asked then closed his eyes and pulled Orzabal into a surprise kiss.

Roland stiffened back up. Curt was kissing him! He was actually doing what he had been wanting to do to him for years now! Curt didn't even show signs of attraction towards him, but here he was. It was slow and tender. The coolness from Curt's lips finally met Roland's warmness. They were smooth, soft and tasted very sweet. Like brown sugar. It was everything Roland had imagined. Roland closed his eyes and started kissing back, dissolving into Curt's kiss.
