Anti's pov
I was walking around the city that many humans would call home. Humans...they're so...weird. Many kill each other while others have kids they don't even want...that leads to the orphanages with hundreds of children who eventually grow too old and have to move out only to be replaced by another kid much younger than they are. Of course there are the children who have it rougher than them...the one's who are on the street...I admit I was one of them. You never know what'll happen as the day passed by...it could go just fine and then you're sitting next to a garbage can with a hole in your side. Never did really heal from that but hey...I'm still here aren't I? I was walking past an alleyway when I heard a noise...a trash can falling to the floor...
your pov
I woke up wrapped up in the blanket mommy gave me. I don't know where she went but I know she'll come back...I just have to wait. I got out of the little blanket and walked down the little path behind the food shop. It should be time to get food again. It's always in the shiny bins and black bags. I climbed onto the big green bin and looked through the black bags until I found something I could eat. It wasn't very good but I still ate it...then I heard someone walk past the little path I was in. I climbed off the big bin as fast as I could and hid in a small brown box. I also hit one of the shiny bins over making it make noise.
I heard the person stop then come closer to me. I stayed quiet and wrapped myself in my blanked but I don't think it helped since there were holes in it. I closed my eyes and when I opened them the person was standing right in front of where I was hiding.
"Hello? Is anyone there," a man asked. I didn't move...I didn't breathe...then the man walked away. He dropped something, but I didn't care. I wanted to get the food. I climbed back onto the bin and looked through the black bags again looking for something else. Nothing in the first bag...I lifted it out of the bin and climbed into the bin to look at the other bag. Nothing again. I tried climbing out of the bin but I couldn't...I'm too small. I lost balance and fell making the bin fall with me.
I climbed out and saw something at the very bottom of the bin...I climbed into the bin and got it. I climbed back out and started eating when I heard a person getting closer. I looked up as I was about to eat the food and saw a man. He wore a grey hoody, brown pants, and black shoes. His hair was dyed green at the top and he had holes in his ears. His eyes are blue and the white part was green.
I took the food out of my mouth and stared at the strange man...I couldn't move...I was scared.
Anti's pov
I heard the noise again...sound's like someone's snooping through the trash. I walked back to the alleyway and saw a small child about to eat a moldy piece of pizza. They stopped mid-bite and looked up at me. He/she just sat there...staring at me.
"What are you doing here kid? Shouldn't you be with your mom and dad," I asked watching the kid closely. He/she had old and torn cloths on and had an old, torn blanket partially covering him/her.
"I-I don't h-have one...g-gone," he/she stuttered. Is he/she abandoned? If so why?
"Where are they?"
"N-no d-daddy...m-mommy's m-missing. She told me, 'don't leave'...t-told me s-she'd be back s-soon," he/she said looking at the ground now.
"When was that," I asked. I don't think his/her father was any good and his/her mother might not be coming back.
"D-don't know. I-I can't tell t-time." I looked at the kid and looked around...there was a small box that looked lived in...must be where the kid lives...there was no food anywhere...that's why he/she was eating the moldy pizza.
"Hey...do you...do you wanna come with me? Get some food and be warm," I asked. The kid looked up at me and was scared...I could see it in his/her eyes.
"M-mommy said, 'd-don't leave w-with people.' S-she said 't-they might h-hurt you'...I-I don't want to hurt..." the kid said. Smart kid...but it's not right for a kid to be sitting in an alleyway waiting for someone who won't show up. I sighed and took out my phone, quickly calling Bing...if anyone would know where someone is it's him...well him and Google.
"Hello?"
"Hey Bing I need you to look something up for me," I said looking back at the small kid. He/she had already gone back to looking for food in the garbage bins.
"What?!? Your giving me a job what is it!?! I'll find anything and anyone you can count on me!!!Just give me a-"
"Bing calm the fuck down. I need you to find someone."
"Ok ok ok...who am I going to find?"
"Um...good question hold on," I said putting my hand on the receiver part of the phone. "Hey kid...who's your mom?"
"M-mommy? (M-m/n). S-she said, 'don't leave' she said s-she'd be back," the kid said looking at the ground. I kinda feel bad for the kid...that is if the mother lied.
"Ok Bing, look for a woman by the name of (m/n). She should have a child," I say looking at the kid again. He/she's really skinny, I can see his/her ribs and his/her hair was greasy looking. Probably has never seen a bath tub in his/her life.
"Ok. (M/n) (l/n) single mother with (#/c). Date of birth (m/b). Last known whereabouts...alleyway with a child by the name of (y/n) (l/n)," I looked down at the little kid and saw that they had gone back into their little cardboard box and had fallen asleep, "say's here that the woman was seen walking away from the alleyway but not seen returning. No bank accounts had been activated since...she filed for bankruptcy...there's nothing known about the husband besides his name, age, and children...is that enough information?"
"Yeah...thanks Bing."
"No problem. If you need anything else just call!"
"Bye," I said hanging up the call. I walked over to the kid and saw that they also had a small (f/a) plushy that was tattered and torn in several places...the kid slept peacefully despite the grumbles from their stomach. I looked up at the sky and saw the grey clouds and rain in the distance...then I felt a raindrop on my nose, then another one, and another. Eventually it was pouring and I was about to leave when I saw my old picture on the ground.
I reached for it and looked at the old bitter-sweat memory...it was me with my parents before they...before they were killed. I sighed and was about to leave when I heard a small sneeze from the small cardboard box. I looked over and saw that the little kid was getting soaked from the rain and was shivering. I looked out of the alleyway and saw no one was near...I looked back at the kid and frowned.
'No one cares if this kid would get hurt or sick or even if they were to die,' I thought. I sighed and walked next to the box and sat down next to it. I summoned my wings and covered the box and kid from the rain. That didn't stop the kid from shivering so I put them on my lap and wrapped my tail around them trying to keep them warm. They smiled in their sleep and leaned closer to me. I closed my wings around us and leaned against the wall behind me and looked up at the sky letting the rain hit my face. Soon I fell asleep still holding onto the small child.
