Tessa was in high spirits the next day, mainly because of her night with James. Her parents had asked her how her night went, and she replied that it was most enjoyable and, no they had not kissed, not even a pet on the cheek. This seemed to pacify Mr. and Mrs. Johnson, knowing that the two only went as far as holding hands. Tessa was seventeen years old, but her parents still watched over her intently.
She went to school that day skipping merrily, seeing everything through a ray of sunshine. It wasn't until she walked through the doors of her first class did she realize Nicolas's presence.
"Good, you still remember me," said Nicolas when she responded to his calls, "what happened last night?"
"Oh, Nicolas, it was amazing," said Tessa dreamily dancing around while holding Nicolas's arms, "we waltzed around like this, and he hugged me like this, and it was perfect."
With each memory she recounted, she acted it out for Nicolas to see.
"You seem to have had a good time," said Nicolas.
"Oh, it was a wonderful time," said Tessa, "and I'll tell you a secret. We did something immoral."
She whispered the last sentence while grinning from ear to ear. She started skipped to her seat, and Nicolas followed her.
"What do you mean by that?" Nicolas said. She did not make a reply. He didn't recognize her anymore.
"Settledown class," said the monotonous voice of Mr. Martin. Everyone did settle down,except Tessa, who was now silently laughing to her notebook.v
