My camzi

Lauren
I finish up with the last of the pancakes putting three on a plate for Camzi. She pours some syrup on them and a little bit of butter. I watch her put a mouthful in. Her cheeks swell up like little chipmunk cheeks. Then I hear a knock at the door.
"Camzi I'm going to answer the door ok. I'll be right back," I tell the small girl.
She nods her head too intrigued into her food. I walk out of the kitchen and walk over to the door. Opening it I see a random girl on my porch.
"Good morning have you seen a girl with brown hair and brown eyes this morning. She's not hard to find," the girl ask looking into my house.
Putting two and two together I figure this is Camzi "mother". Why does she care. She threw her own daughter out of the house. I hear feet run over to me. I look back to see Camzi running over to me with her blanket and tiger in her hand. Syrup is all over her face.
"WHAT THE F*CK CAMILA. YOU GET OVER HERE RIGHT NOW OR SO HELP ME!" The girls screams on top of her lungs.
Camzi whimpers at the loud noise holding her hands to her ears. That made me mad. Tears start to come down the little girls face and she starts shaking.
"Oh great her come the baby tears. I'm so sorry just give me the brat and you can continue on your day," Camzi mother sighs.
Like I'm giving back Camzi to her.
"As if. I can report child abuse on you. I suggest you leave now before I call the cops. Beside you can care less where she goes," I spit back at her.
She growls at me but walks back to her house. I turn my attention back to the little girl. Tears are still running down her face and her hands are digging into her skin.
"Hey, hey it's ok. The bad girl is gone. Your safe now," I calmly say to her taking her hands into my hands.
She shakes her head at me not looking up.
"Camzi can you please look up. Please look up so Lauren can see you," I say kneeling down to her.
Yeah she's that small. Slowly she looks up starring at my eyes. There all glossy and red. I give her a warm smile and rub my thumb over her hands.
"It's all gone Camzi. The mean lady won't bother you anymore. I promise... Camzi would you like me to be your new mommy?" I ask wiping her tears away.
She looks up a little more her eyes growing a little bit bigger. She furiously nods her head running into me. I feel her hug me tight. I hold her tight rubbing her back. I get up from the floor picking her up. She rest her head on my shoulder. I walk up to my room and place her on my beanbag.

Camila
Lauren places me on her beanbag. I didn't want to leave her but I did anyway. I can't believe Lauren's going to be my new mommy. She's a way better mommy than my other one. Lauren comes back over to me and places a beanie on my head. It slips down covering my eyes. I start to freak out in the dark.
"Hey it's ok I'm right here," Lauren says pulling up the beanie so I can see.
She wipes a tear away from me and kisses my nose. Best mommy ever.
"Alright Camzi what would you like to do?" Lauren ask.
I think for a bit before an idea comes to my head. I always wanted to build a fort. Like a really big one.
"Can we build a blanket fort?" I ask her.
A big smile comes to her face. She runs out of the room and back with a mountain of blankets and pillows. I clap in excitement as she puts the fort up. After a while it's done. It looks so cool.

Lauren
I finish the last of the fort. Stepping back I smile at my work. I look over at Camzi to see her gapping at the fort. Aww so cute. I walk over to her and close her mouth.
"Your going to get flies in my mouth if you don't close your mouth honey," I say.
She lunges at me tackling me into a hug. I hug her back holding her tightly. Omg her cuddles are the best.
"Camzi you cuddles are to die for. You can be the best cuddler ever," I say kissing her head.
"I come in second. Cause you be first," she responds back.
Aww so cute. I take her into the fort holding her hand. We get into the tv room and I put finding Nemo on. Camila's eyes light up and she's sucked into the movie. I sit down against the wall and pick her up putting her on my lap. She snuggles into me holding her tiger and blankey.
"Lolo... can you sleep with me. I usually don't like to sleep in the dark alone," Camzi asks quietly looking up at me.
I hug her tightly and kiss her tightly.
"Anything for you bug," I smile at her.
She puts her head back in my chest and looks at the movie again.
