New Neighbor

Aphmau's POV

I don't know what to do. I just kind of blurted that out. I thought I liked him, but when he told me that he loved me....I just didn't feel it. I let him kiss me once, just to see if there were any sparks. There wasn't.

It's Wednesday, Aaron's probably wondering why I'm not there today. I called in sick because I wouldn't be able to focus at work. I'd be to busy thinking about what he said on Sunday.

I won't. I refuse to, I like Aaron and that's how it's gonna stay. Not unless I end up getting rejected by Aaron. I've kind of just been thinking that he likes me. Well he did SAY that he liked me so I guess I can have a little hope that he still does.

If he does reject me, it's not like i should go to Laurence. That'd be super shallow. But I just might if I'm depressed enough, that'll mean I'm a bad person. UGH ! Screw my curse of not being able to be mean. I want a frappachino right now.

I'm gonna go to star bucks. When I walked outside of my apartment I bumped into a girl.

"Woops I'm sorry I was spacing out" I told her. "Oh, don't worry about it, so was I" she replied rubbing the back of her head. "Hey, I've never seen you on this floor are you looking for somebody." I asked her, man I can't take my eyes off her pretty red hair.

"Nope I just moved here, I live right there." She pointed to the door two doors down from mine. Man another new neighbor huh? Looks like we're filling this floor up. "Cool! Looks like we're sort of neighbors, my names Aphmau." I held out my hand for her to shake. "Woah ! Nice name, it rings a bell though, do I know you from somewhere?" She asked me. I shrugged my shoulders.

"Hmm okay, well I'm Nae ! Nice to meet you." She smiled. Her name sounds familiar too, I don't know where from though. "Oh man! I have to go Aphmau, I have to go finish an extra chapter in my fanfiction. They said my editor took a sick day so I thought that I would get ahead of schedule." She smiled at me.

"Hm ok I'll let you get to it th-" and then it hit me " WAIT A MINUTE, THAT NAE ?! The one who's writing 'Our Lights Shine Bright?' " (^_^ yup I did that , now go check it out !) . Her eyes widened in shock. " YOUR MY EDITOR, I knew I recognized your name !" She yelled.

Oh man, I took a sick day where I'm not even sick, I have to get out of here before she realizes.

"Welllll, I have to go get some medicine from the pharmacy down the road...you go finish that extra chapter and tomorrow I should be finished, okay ? Got to go byyyyeee" I rushed down the hallway. Ignoring the last thing she said.

I finally got to the Pharmacy I said I was going to, then I remembered what I left the house for. I walked across the street and into the Starbucks to get the coffee I needed. I ordered what I wanted and prepared to take my wallet out. "That'll be $6.25 , anything else ? The cashier asked." I spaced out, I was looking at her name tag because she looked familiar.

Emma. Whatever must be my imagination. Oh no. I DROPPED MY WALLET . Oh gosh, I started digging through my purse like a madman. No wallet though. "DANGIT! I hope I left it at home.." The door made a little ding letting us know that they're was another customer. I ignored it and kept rummaging through my purse, hoping my wallet would reappear.

"Looking for this ?" I turned around when I heard the familiar voice. I turned and froze in embarrassment when I realized what had happened. Nae was standing there holding out my wallet and wearing a smirk on her face. "You know, I'm not stupid I know your not sick, but I'm a human being who works and understand that sometimes you just need to take a sick day." She smiled and put my wallet in my hand.

I let out a giggle and we sat down and had a coffee. "Nae how old are you anyways ?" I asked. "19!" She replied. Wow ! This girls a great writer for being 19. "You make me feel like an old lady, I mean I'm 24" she looked at me and tilted her head. "Well you don't look like your 24, plus that not old at all so don't worry about it." She smiled.

Her smile was so enthusiastic I couldn't help but smile back, and let out a giggle. This is great, I have a super cool author!

Yup that's the end of this chapter! Sorry I added my own character but I just had to. I hope you guys enjoy this chapter and leave a comment down below what you'd like to see you the next chapter. So far I love writing this book so you don't have to worry about it ending anytime soon.  I promise that there will be some more romance happening in this book it's just taking a little while so this book isn't too rushed.
