"I'm happy. I promise. But I'm only happy when the sky is crying."
"What do you mean 'the sky is crying'?"
"I mean I don't feel alone anymore. When the sky cries, I feel like it shares my tears."
"Why do you feel alone? Your not alone."
"But I am."
"How?"
"I cry. Alone. I cut. Alone. I walk. Alone. My soul dies. Alone. I just simply am alone. That's just my destiny."
"Your alone because you won't let anyone in, though."
"No. Really you don't take me seriously at all. It's only serious when I'm dead."
"We'll, do want to be alone?"
"Yes and No. I want to feel like I'm not alone when I'm sad, but, I don't want anyone to see me be ugly."
"Why are you sad?"
"I've walked through lots of things. Sometimes it's tears. Sometimes it's blizzards. Sometimes it's fire. But the worst thing I've walked through, is where it's just perfect. Everything. It made me realize that I won't ever belong in that world. Or the next."
"We'll, where do you think you belong?"
"I don't know. Maybe I belong somewhere and just haven't found it, or maybe I belong nowhere."
"What's the worst feeling you ever had?"
"That's easy. The feeling where your so deep in your sadness, your just numb. You don't feel their words. You don't feel your cuts. The only thing you feel is your sadness. Your sadness is like...it's like being trapped in a box. Under a cloud. It pours all day and night. You never sleep. You just sit there. And watch people walk by. Sometimes, your in the city. Sometimes, your in a neighborhood. They don't even look at you. You just sit there. Like your nothing but a speck of dust. Your just empty. Hollow. Like your body is there, but nothing else is. Your just...Nothing."
"What do you call that feeling?"
"What do you mean?"
"I mean if you could describe that feeling in one word, what would that word be?"
"I don't know."
"Just take a second. Look around you. What describes that feeling of sadness. Represents it."
"I really don't know."
"Okay how about this, don't call the feeling something in one word. Just crumple all of those things you said about that feeling into one word that most people could understand."
"Well, rain."
"What?"
"Rain."
"....."
"I said Rain."
