Chapter 4: The Start of Something Great

"Hey Light." Says Jack "Yes?" "Are you really joining Killer Software? I mean as your mentor." "Jack.... that was years ago I've pretty much already surpassed you we're just friends now." I say "Right, guess you don't need me anymore." He responds sounding really depressed "I'll see you later Light. Have fun with your little hacker buddies." He says and he starts walking away "Wait no Jack! I didn't mean it like that!" I scream hoping for him to come back but he continues on leaving me alone in the rain.

"Well here it is." I say looking at an empty alley way with a steel door on the left wall. I then knock on the door and a little window opens "Who's there?" says a voice "It's me Light." I say and I show him Isayama's card "Oh the infamous Light. Isayama told me you'd be here." He said as I walked in "Infamous?" I asked "Yeah you didn't know you're pretty much praised here. Everybody is talking about your hacking skills, agility and fighting skills you're basically a superhuman!" He says and all I say is "Oh well I wouldn't exactly consider myself a superhuman I mean I could barely climb an antenna I don't see myself as agile in that scenario." I respond and I walk down the hallway to find myself as to what seems like a bar full of motorcycle gangs. People are screaming laughing punching each other in rings and people betting on them. Then every 5 seconds someone seems to collapse "Oh so you actually came." Says a voice behind me and I turn around and Isayama is there smiling at me "Where is your little friend Jack?" He asks and I remember that he left me a few hours ago "He's gone probably not coming back." I explain and there is an awkward silence for a moment until Isayama says "Well while he's off making new friends why don't you as well?" and he pulls me towards a big stage and screams out 'Attention everyone! This here is the one and only hacker of the century Light! And for you ladies out there he's single and ready to mingle." And I automatically get drowned by questions "Is it true you hacked 5 military drones at once with a phone?" "Will you marry me?!" "Are you the real Light!?" are the most common questions I hear and then the whole room is silent and the entrance opens. A gas suddenly fills the room and we I fall to floor. Everything turns black.

"Huh? What happened?" I say as I wake up "How long since we passed out?" I ask to no one in particular "about 5 minutes." Says Isayama which seems to be everywhere I go "Who threw the gas in?" I ask him "Well he's mysterious hacker known only as 'DragonBlade". No one has ever seen his face or knows of his origin he's about as good as a hacker as you are Light." He explains "Why does everybody say I'm a good hacker as if I'm some legendary dragon slaying hero. I mean sure I could hack, fight and I am pretty agile but not enough to be "infamous"." I tell him and he gives me a puzzled look "What do you mean not enough to be infamous of course you are enough! Come here I'll help you release your true potential then tell me if you're not enough." He says sounding mad at me and he takes to what seems like an obstacle course. "This here is where we train our so called Runners we plan on making you one of our Runners." He says "And what do Runners do?" "Well for starters they run and climb things in order to acquire objects or get to places to scout out for trouble. but we have different plans for you we'll discuss later." He responds and after a few seconds of making out the possibilities of what can go wrong or right I chose "Yeah sure I'll be a runner seems fun." And I get started on the obstacle course.
