Garrett's POV

"Elizabeth? You in there?" I asked. I could hear her breathing and entered the room to find her huddled in a corner of the room. "Hey what's wrong?" I asked kneeling down beside her. "Just a bit overwhelmed by the number of people watching me. Panic attack." She said quietly.

I smiled and wrapped an arm around her shoulders. Her scent was very different from the others. It smelt like... Peppermint. I was very unsure if she was my mate. I mean I didn't mind the age gap but how would she take it? I felt her EJ cuddle against me and soon she was fast asleep. I carries her and set her down gently onto her bed. With that I left the room and came face to face with Kate.

"You like her don't you?" She said grinning cheekily. "I don't know what you mean," If I were still human I would have blushed. Kate smirked and we went downstairs.

The next day we were outside watching Zafrina and Siera. They had blinded Edward and Bella was confused. She was a Shield. "Oh she's a shield alright, should've put it on her ass." She said grabbing Bella's hand, trying to electrocute her. "Well I think your voltage is exaggerated." I said. "Maybe it only works on the weak." Kate retaliated looking over at EJ who was hanging upside down from the nearby tree.

Elizabeth grinned and back flipped off. I could see Edward watching her carefully. She stood before me and held out her hand. I reached out a finger to touch her palm. "Garrett, I wouldn't," Carlisle said. I just continues until our hand connected and I fell to the ground at the electric shock. "Omg are you okay?" Elizabeth asked, kneeling down beside me. "That was amazing." I breathed looking at her. She grinned.

The next thing you know, we're training Bella how to project her shield, or at least Kate is. Alistar, Emmett, Edward, EJ and I were watching. "Imagine what it looks like, what color t it, and then imagine it expanding." Kate instructed. I could tell Bella was trying and she almost did it but failed. "Maybe she needs a little motivation." Kate said looking at Elizabeth and her father.

Bella looked worried and then Edward held out his hands to Kate and EJ. "Edward no-" "It's okay I can take it." Edward cut Bella off. "He says that now." I chuckle, looking over at Elizabeth. She has a cheeky gleam in her gild eyes and I fail to stop myself from smiling. "Edward I'm not ready!" Bella said and then he was electrocuted. "Dude you're not motivating her!" Emmett cut in. "You wanna try?" He asked sarcastically. Emmett held his hand sup in mock surrender.

Bella tried again and failed. Finally Kate and EJ were going full voltage. And you know what? She did it. Edward barely felt a thing. "Nice one." I whispered to Elizabeth. "Okay we should go again." Bella suggested. "Emmett?" Edward smirked. I chuckled and watched them train.
