Visions

Oblivion

I released my body to the water and swam. It felt as if I where going somewhere, and nowhere. I stopped in the middle of the pool and floated on my back, forgetting all the bad in my life. I suddenly felt arms wrap around my waist and pull to his chest. I turned to face his beautiful face and saw him grinning.
"I think you look better in my shirt than I do." I looked down and saw that his black shirt making every curve of my body pop out. I put my arms around him and I kissed his jaw line and then kissed his neck.
"I love you Tyler."
"I love you -"
The doors flung open and my doctor, grandparents, and a cop came in.
" honey get out of the water right now!"
"What's going on?" I said swimming to the ladder.
"Your very sick and you shouldn't have been have been doing all this physical activity, your condition can kill you !"
"Ok what the he11 are you guys talking about ?!"
I took a towel from the Bin and dried off.
"Laura you have a rare condition that makes your brain shut down when your doing activities and such, we think this is what is causing your visions."
Another doctor came up to me, "for example, if your working on a hard math problem or even stressing over a swim meet, your brain gets to much pressure on it and gives out for a period of time."
"So what your telling me is that I go brain dead and have visions when I get to wired."
"Well if you keep having these visions we're afraid that you might not come back from being brain dead.."
I stood there as they were explaining it in detail and didn't even bother to listen to them..I know I should be and I should be scared and panicking and probably crying but I just went.. Blank. It's was probably shock, but it felt like I knew this was coming that it was gonna get more bad. Tyler held me and tried to comfort me.
I walked past everyone and got to the showers. My grandma came in while I put my hair up.
"Are you okay?"
I started to chuckle.."mentally no."
My grandma started at me and probably thought I was crazy. To soon I guess.
"So your surgery is tonight, you haven't ate anything right?"
"No, but I can't believe they have to fix 3 things wrong with my head.."
"I'm sorry honey..well when your ready we will head back to the hospital."
"Actually can I ride with Tyler?"
"Hun, Tyler probably needs to go back home, he's been gone so much lately."
"Grandma, I won't go anywhere else but back to the hospital, and Tyler said that he wouldn't leave until my surgery over and I've tried to talk him out of that idea already."
"I guess..But you have to be at the hospital by 8, no later!"
"Deal!"
After everyone left I decided to go talk to Tyler. As I was walking into the locker rooms I was about to say something but I spotted Tyler..Taking a shower, honestly this was a beautiful sight to see.
"So are you gonna come get in here with me or just stare?"
"Well I wouldn't mind just looking but.."
I walked over to him while putting my hair down, I had natural curls that were everywhere. He started to give a little smile.
"I feel like we've known each other our whole lives."
When I got to him I felt the water his my face and planted my lips on his. He entangled his hand in my NO soaked hair and clenched onto my waist. I just decided to forget all what I had just found out about my head and decided to live in this moment.

We got into his car and I played my playlist in the car. I didn't want to go back knowing that I have to go into surgery and there's a chance I might not come back out. Because finally, I have something to live for, Tyler,love and my grandparents. The thought of dying didn't scare me. The thought of never getting to see my family or Tyler again terrified me. We pulled into the parking lot and sat in the car, the sun just barely shining.

I know this is a short chapter and I'm sorry for that. I hope the few readers enjoy this story so far..I wrote it a while back and I was debating on whether to put it on here, but I feel good about my decision. ❤️
