Sweater Weather

Nico felt dead, which was actually pretty funny, but mornings were never his thing. Especially during fall when things were cold and all he wanted was the warmth of his bed and Will. Even worse, he hadn't seen Will in two or three days (which was extremely rare) because of a massive workload, and on top of that his sweaters started going missing. Yeah, people messed with him, but who on earth had the audacity to take his sweaters during the fall?

He walked to the infirmary, sliding in silently and searched for another camper who'd maybe seen Will. When he spotted one hiding behind a clipboard, he waved for their attention, but said nothing because he could never remembered her name. "Hey, is Will anywhere nearby?"

"I think so. He's probably somewhere in the back," she said, then returned to scribbling furiously on her clipboard.

Nico nodded in thanks and headed that way. He swung a door open, and there was Will, in one of Nico's sweaters fast asleep in his chair. He chuckled and shook his head, walked over to Will, brushed his curly hair out of his face, and leaned right by his ear. "That's my sweater," he whispered.

Will jolted up and was on his feet in an instant, having been caught by complete surprise. "You scared the living daylight out of me," he exhaled with a hand over his heart to calm down its racing beat.

Nico wrapped his arms around him for warmth and the comfort he hadn't felt in way too long. "You've been taking my sweaters. Bet you didn't think I'd notice, but I did."

With a roll of his eyes, Will wrapped his arms around Nico in return. "Well hello to you too. You haven't seen a guy in days and he nearly gives you a heart attack then starts complaining. You weren't wearing them and they smelled good so I borrowed a few."

"I like my sweaters. It's a good thing I like you more because I would be hiding a body otherwise," Nico teased.

"Aren't you just the comedian."

"Seriously, I'm going to need those back."

I wrote this around Halloween but didn't post it because I hated it so just take it, friends. It's been in my drafts long enough. I'm hoping to get something Christmassy out soon but life is stressful so we'll see how it goes. Later!
