Chapter 8: Escape

*(Y/N)'s POV*
*Two Days Later*

I don't know how many days had past, but it makes me worried that I'll never be saved. I don't know where John or Logan are nor have I heard from them. Logan didn't speak through each others mind and has only been silent. I sit in the corner of my cage, yes a cage since a jail cell doesn't seem safe, so now I'm chained to my ankles, wrists, and neck. The vampires here have been treating me like a dog, shouting and mocking my puny form. Each night my anger grows more towards them as my thoughts became dark. Kill them... rip them to shreds... make them pay for your pain... thats what the voices tell me as at times they tell me to growl at them. I don't know why... but I want to take a bite out of them. Feel their blood against my teeth and hear the screams of pain around me. I breathe heavy as my body burns up like I've caught a fever, this started sometime ago and hasn't went away. No one was watching now, but my body started to shift, painfully. I screamed in pain as my bones break as they reform in a new position. I fall to the ground as my screams turn to growls and whimpers. My nails grew into sharp claws that could cut into with ease along with my teeth. Soon, my body was covered in (h/c) fur with my ears flat against my head and tail between my legs. I was on all fours, feeling short as the cage towers over me. I panic as I try to call out for help to have no one appear. 'Logan, where are you, I'm scared.' I thought as I hear a door slam open. I back up as I see John appear with some woman beside him, staring in disappointment. "What a shame John, your girlfriend is a mutt... how sad... what you going to do now?" "I don't know... I didn't even want this to happen..." John said as he kneeled in front of the cage. "JOHN! HELP ME! WHAT HAPPENED TO ME!" I cried out as his face scrunchs up. "God, it's annoying to hear the barks other werewolves... I pity you (Y/N), I don't know what you are saying, but do not worry, I'll find a way to cure you and make you into a vampire. You must feel terrible in that form." John said as he was about to reach a hand at me before being pulled back by the woman who seemed to glare me. "Stop it John, you really think that she can be cured? It's already to late for her anyway. You might as well keep her as a per instead of a lover." "Claire, shut up. You know damn well I'm not going to give up until I have what I want. I want my love to be like me, and I'll succeed very soon." John smirked at Claire as he looked back at me. I whimper in fear as my ears flatten as I push my body against the corner of the cage away from John. John only chuckled as he stood up and left with Claire by his side.

'(Y/N)? Are you okay, what happened? Are you hurt!' 'I was earlier, but now... I'm in a wolf body... it hurt so much when I chagned...' 'You changed! How long ago? Was your body burning up?' 'Yeah, it started burning up hours ago and just a few moments ago, I chagned.' I thought as I sit down and look at my paws in sadness. 'That must mean the full moon was tonight... (Y/N), whatever you do, don't move.' 'Wait, why? Am I in danger?' 'Yes and no, but I'm coming to get you. Don't worry, I'll take out the guards around me and go for you.' With that Logan went silent. I huff as I lay down, waiting for a sound. My ears perk up as I heard a voice outside. "Should we kill the mutt? We have no use for it..." "Don't, you know John will kill us if we step out of line. He believes that he can cure the mutt and make it one of us... that is impossible, but we have to go with it since he has more power over us." "Damn, I won't have mind putting the mutts head on a sta- what was that?" The man went silent as a scream could be heard. It stopped as a growl was heard before the scream of the men was quick. After sometime, a man's choking was stopped with a loud snap. I held my breath as I stood up quietly and pushed myself into the corner as the door creeks open and a dark brown snout poked inside the room, sniffing. I whined as the door opened more to see a huge dark brown wolf come in. "L-L-Logan?" "(Y/N), is that you? Why the hell did they put you in a cage? Those bastards! All kill them for what they've done to you!" Logan growled as he rushed to the cage. I walked towards him as my head lowers, not knowing how to get out. "Don't worry (Y/N), I'll get you out. But the problem is that there's a key pad thats keeping your cage locked. I'll look around to see if they are keeping the code somewhere, you try and see if there's any weak spots in the cage that could be breakable." "Okay, but hurry. John is going to come back in here again. I don't know when, but I'm sure he'll try to kill you if he sees you here." "I'll be quick, don't worry." Logan said as he pressed his nose agianst mine before pulling away to find the code. Looking around my cage, check the bars to see a loose one in the back. Biting the bar, I growl as I try pulling the bar back only for it to stay in its place. Getting angry, I ram my body against the bar to loosen it up. Doing it over and over again, the bar popped out, leaving a small opening. With my tiny form, I squeeze through and fall to the ground. I yelp as I hit my head against the ground, making Logan rush to me. "(Y/N), are you okay?" "I-I'm fi-fine... let's just get out of here... I don't want to be in here anymore." "Okay, but follow my lead, I'll try to get us out of here without anyone noticing." "But can't they smell us?" "Yes, but the scent of blood will cover us up and distract them, giving us enough time." Logan said as he trotted towards the door as I follow close. Checking the halls, Logan sniffs the air and looks to his right. "The exit it to our right, but also the vampires... we'll have to take a detour just to bypass them... if we're lucky, then to our left there might be another way out, which I doubt..." He said as he ran to the left and stopped at the corner, waiting for me to catch up.

After sometime, taking many turns in these long hallways, we reach a room that had an odd smell. "Logan? What is that?" "... I think it might be Anti... they must be still deciding on what to do with him... we need to get him out of there." "What!?! Why?!?" "You'll understand later, come on." "But-" I was cut off as Logan pushed the door open. Seeing inside was Anti himself, all bloody and bruised. Looking up at us, he smirked at the sight. "Aw, the lovely (Y/N) has come to save me... in her new form as well? How sweet of you to do so~." "Not now Anti, we have to get you out of here befire John finds (Y/N) missing." "Oh, right, John's still alive and well. Damn and I was just hoping it was just a dream. Oh well, get me unchained and I'll lead you both out." Anti said with a wicked smile as he held out his chained arms. Logan glared as he destroyed the chains quickly before returning to my side. Rubbing his wrist, Anti chuckled before turning serious. "You know the deal Logan, and you must commit to it." "I know, but can't we get (Y/N) out first before finishing out our task?" "Fine, let's not waste anymore time. I'm getting impatient with him still being alive." Anti said as he walked out of the room with us. A few vampires tried to stop us, but Logan and Anti took them out easily, leaving me to follow behind them. Reaching the exit took sometime and with the many delays, we made it. Right as Anti was about to open the door, he froze as he looked back at us. "When I open this door... run, don't look back, keep running until you lose them in the forest." Anti said before taking a breath and pushing the door open qu copy as he dashed past the many guards. With Anti distracting them, Logan and I ran for our lives to the forest. Yelling could be heard as the sound of footsteps the on our tails. "STOP THEM! DON'T LET THEM ESCAPE!" John's voice rang as more vampires came after me and Logan. I start to pant as my legs begin to burn. "Don't stop (Y/N), run! I know you're tired, but you have to keep moving or you'll be caught! I can't let that happen again!" "I-I'm tr-trying t-to ke-keep u-up!" I whined as I push myself to run faster. Almost reaching the forest John and a few others block our path, Logan stopped as he stood in front of me. We were surrounded as Logan growled at them while I whimpered. "Stop this at once and come back quietly. You know what's best Logan, and you know the penalty of disobeying us." John said as he only recieved a bark in anger. Looking at me, Johns face softens. "Come on (Y/N)... don't do this to me... I'm only trying to help you.. come here." John's voice was calm as he crouched down with his hand out to me. I whimper in confusion as I looked between Logan and John, not knowing what to do. Looking towards John I slowly walk to him as Logan pushed me back with a growl. "Don't (Y/N), you'll only be used and hurt by him. Stay with me and I'll protect you." "Logan, stay out of this, it's her choice if she wants to come with me." John hissed as he glared at Logan. Logan growled as he was about to attack John when Anti came out of nowhere next to me and Logan. "Sorry to interrupt this fight, but I need these two. Good day Johnny boy~. I hope to see you soon~." Anti said as my world went black as I hear John yelling my name.
