Enoch O'connor wasn't the type of person who did very many things. He usually wasn't interested in anything unless it had to do with his peculiarity of bringing things back to life using one of his many hearts he kept locked up in jars. How Olive had convinced him to go the carnival with her, he didn't know and for some reason even though he knew the loop they were in was safe, he still felt uneasy, as if there were hollows lurking around every turn, waiting for them to get on a ride so they could attack and steal his or Olive's eyes. Enoch wasn't ready to die yet and while he could bring Olive back to life temporarily, he still didn't want to have to do that. They had arrived just as the sun had set, and the first thing Olive wanted to do was get cotton candy. Enoch almost didn't buy any for her, as it looked suspicious to him (how does one get fluffy sticky pink stuff out of a machine that's just air?) but he bought her a bag anyways. Within five minutes Olive had gotten the pink fluff all over her dress, in her hair and on her gloves. She almost took her gloves off to eat the candy but Enoch stopped her before she lit anything on fire. After the cotton candy fiasco, Olive drug Enoch over to the Ferris Wheel. Enoch immediately protested.

"Olive, you can't possibly want to ride this.....this monstrosity!" Enoch cried out, flailing his arms at the strange looking moving circle. Olive scrunched up her face an glared at Enoch.

"Oh but I can Enoch, and I will. Come on now." She gripped Enoch's arm tightly in her hand and pulled him into one of the carts. Enoch sat down meekly next to Olive and cleared his throat. The ride jolted forwards and Enoch panicked and reached out to grip the sliver bar in the middle of the cart. His knuckles whitened as he grippded the bar tighter. He felt Olive's slightly warm hand on his shoulder and his grip loosened. Her hand was warm but not too hot to where it would burn Enoch. It was comforting and sent a wave of relief through Enoch. He shakily removed his hand from the silver bar and rested his hands in his lap. He stared down at the ground, asahmed for being so scared of something so content and safe.

"Hey, Enoch?" Enoch gazed up into Olive's bright blue eyes with his saddened brown eyes.

"I'm sorry Olive." Enoch muttered.

"Whatever are you sorry for?" Olive questioned.

"For being a coward. God, i'm so lame, getting scared over a damn Ferris Wheel."

"No no love, please don't be sorry. It's something new and foreign to you. I cried the first time I went on a Ferris Wheel, I thought I would fall off and die or perhaps accidentally set the whole thin on fire somehow." Olive admitted.

"Pfft, you're just saying that to make me feel better." Enoch muttered.

"No, love I'm really not. Oh! Look Enoch!" Olive's eyes lit up when the Ferris Wheel came to a halt at the very top. Olive's crystalline eye's scanned out over the horizon at all the blinking bright lights around them. The wind blew through her tussled ginger curls and she closed her eyes with a pleased smile on her face. Seeing Olive like this made Enoch's stomach twist up inside and as he looked around, he realised how beautiful but tiny everything looked from this high up. Enoch realised that this wasn't scary at all. In fact everything was perfect the way it was, and Enoch wouldn't have it any other way. Olive opened her eyes and looked at Enoch.

"See? Not so scary. It's beautiful, I think."

"I agree, everything is so beautiful from high up, it's so amazing. I've never seen anything like it." Enoch took Olive's gloved hand in his own hand and squeezed it tightly. Olive blushed.

"We're almost back down to the bottom Enoch. Is there anything you'd like to do next?"

"Hm," Enoch pondered, "How about the tunnel of love?" He grinned like a kid in a candy shop at Olive's flushed cheeks.

"O-okay." She squeaked. "Any reason in particular?"

"Hm, not really aside from the fact that it's cute and romantic and cheesy an I'd like to show you that I've really moved on from my obsession over Emma."

"I already know that you've moved on from Emma darling." Olive smiled.

"I know but i just want you to really know that I...well I.." Enoch trailed off. Olive frowned.

"You what, love? Are you okay? Usually you just hole yourself up in your room and tinker with your hearts and such. I've never seen you act so.....happy before."

"I'm happy because I'm with you, Olive." Enoch truly smiled for what felt like the first time in several years and looked into Olive's eyes.

"Oh Enoch, you're such a sap." Olive giggled and lead Enoch off of the Ferris Wheel and over to the tunnel of love. They climbed into one of the swan shaped boats and Olive sat herself down next to Enoch. Olive slid off her gloves and encased her warm hands around Enoch's. Enoch rested his forehead against Olive's and smiled.

"I," A kiss pressed to Olive's forehead, "Love," A kiss pressed to her nose, "You." A kiss pressed softly against her warm supple lips. Olive's eyes widened as she melted into the kiss and placed her hands lightly on Enoch's face. Their lips moved in sync and Enoch twisted a rouch callused hand through Olive's bright red hair. Olive pulled back, breathless and grinned.

"I love you too, Enoch." She whispered. Enoch's heart swelled with pride when Olive whispered those four little but oh-so-big words. It was like music to his ears, a song that he never wanted to end. As the ride came to a stop, Enoch got out and extended a hand down to Olive.

"M'lady." He smiled down at Olive who gratefully took his hand and climbed out of the swan boat and then promptly pulled her black gloves back over her hands.

"Where to now love?" Olive asked.

"Anywhere, as long as it's with you." Enoch replies with a smile.
