"Um yeah," he responds looking at the ground.
"You don't look happy or excited about it," I say eyeballing him.
"I am," he says with a forced smile. Sam looks at Arsen with an unreadable face. Arsen stands uncomfortably scratching the back of his neck.
"ARSIE BABY CAN YOU COME HERE," Kelly screams from upstairs.
"Excuse me," Arsen says, rushing upstairs.
"Are you okay," Sam says looking me in the eyes. There was fury in his eyes.
"The real question is are you okay," I ask him. Sam sighs and rubs his hand against his face.
"Kelly isn't the right girl for him and since they'll be together she'll be clinging on him more than she usually does," he responds.
"Can I hug you," he asks.
"Um yeah I-I g-guess," I stutter. Sam gets in between my legs and hugs me tightly.
"Sam do you like Kelly," I whisper into his ear.
"I don't even know," he mumbles into my neck. I wrap my arms around him and rub his back.
"What the hell is this," Arsen asks standing right in front of us with Kelly holding his hand. He's looking at me with a blank expression. Sam immediately lets go of me and backs up.
"I guess Zinnia found a boy who actually likes her," Kelly says with a smirk.
"Can you do me a favor and not let words come out of your mouth," I ask. She glares at me for a few seconds and then she turns towards Arsen.
"I've gotta go baby but I'll text you as soon as I get home," she says. She grabs his face and kisses him but made sure she kept eye contact on me. Finally the snake slithers away from her prey and leaves the house.

"Zinnia dear may I have a word with you," Julianne says knocking on my bedroom door.
"Yes," I squeak out. She walks in the room and gently shuts the door.
"Are you kicking me out," I blurt out.
"I'll never kick you out unless you give me a reason," she says honestly.
"I have a question for you. Where are your parents?"
I don't answer her. I turn my head and stare out the window.
"Zinnia I can't help you if you don't tell me dear."
"I don't have parents," I say coldly.
"Then who takes care of you," she asks with sorrow.
"I take care of myself. My mother doesn't care for me very much and kicked me out," I say.
"Why?"
"Excuse me," I say, instantly getting up. I grabbed my crutches and left the room.
Why is she acting like she cares? I'm so tired of this. I'm so tired of life. I feel like I'm in a dark tunnel and I can see the light but I'm still in the darkness. I'm a needle stuck in a haystack and I can't get out. I'm so tired of being broken down by everyone. My mother, my "father", and these stupid kids at school. I just want to get away.
I walk until I'm at the front door. I open the door and walk down the porch stairs. I walk down until I feel my crutch miss a step. I inhale sharply feeling paralyzed knowing my fate. I instantly crash on the brick stairs. I rapidly start crying. The tears wouldn't stop flowing down my cheeks.
"Holy shit," someone whispers loudly. I look up and see a boy running towards me. He kneels down to my level and grabs my arms.
"Is this your house," he asks. I shake my head no then nod my head.
"You're giving me mixed messages sweetheart," he says, picking me up bridal style. He opens the front door and walks in. He brings us to the living room and sets me on the couch. Wiping my tears away, I can finally see him clearly. He has black hair which is peeking through his pink hat that's backwards. He has on a grey ripped shirt which shows his tattoo.
"On a scale 1-10 how bad is the pain," he asks.
"10"
"Does anything feel brok-," he's instantly cut off by a screaming Parker.
"ZIN ZIN DO YOU WANT TO PLAY HIDE N SEEK WITH ME," Parker screams running into the living room. He pauses when he looks at me and Pink Hat.
"Do you have another boo boo," he asks with concern once he sees my face.
"No I do-."
"MOMMY ZIN ZIN HAS A BOO BOO," Parker yells.
"Who are you," Parker asks looking at the stranger.
"You can call me Mitri," the boy responds.
"Parker what are you yelling about," Julianne says walking into the room.
"Jesus Christ Zinnia what happened?"
"She fell down the stairs ma'am," Mitri says.
She was talking to me.
"Who are you," she asks, turning to face Mitri.
"I'm Dimitri," he says, extending his arm out. Julianne shakes his hand and turns to face me.
"This is all my fault. I should've left you alone. I'm so sorry," she says with tears brimming.
"I'm fine. I just need an ice pack," I reassure her.
"I think you should go to the doctor," Dimitri says.
"So do I let me grab my purse," Julianne says.
"That's not necessary. I just need to sleep," I say.
"You took a hard fall," Dimitri says.
"Listen Timmy Turner I don't need your commentary," I snapped.
"You should be more grateful. If I wouldn't have helped you then you would still be on the ground," Dimitri says.
"I didn't ask you for your help," I say balling my fists.
"The sexual tension here is crazy," Julianne says pulling on the collar of her shirt.
Dimitri smirks and I roll my eyes.
"How about this Zinnia get some rest tonight but if I even sense that you're in pain then Dimitri can take you to the doctor since I have work tomorrow," she says.
"Julianne you just met the guy. He could be a serial killer or a rapist," I shout.
"I can assure you that I'm neither a rapist or a serial killer," Dimitri says.
"That's something a serial killer or rapist would say," I retort.
"Only a serial killer or rapist would know that that's something a serial killer or rapist would say," he responds.
"And there's the sexual tension I was talking about," Julianne says.
"There's no sexual tension at all, just irritation," I say.
"Mhm."
"I gotta go home but I'll see you tomorrow sweetheart," Dimitri says with a wink before leaving the house.
