Everybody knows what a vampire is, everybody has heard of them, read about them, even watched movies about them. But does those books and other theories really pair up with how vampires really are? Are those books just written by some jerk, who think they know what vampires are. Do they even know what vampires are, do they even have the slightest idea.We will never know, vampires aren't real.

What does it take to turn one? Do you have to feed of the person, feed it your blood and then kill it? Do you have to drain the human, feed it with your blood and then sleep with it in the ground? Or do you just have to bite it, and then wait for it to come? We will never know, vampires aren't real. There's so many theories.

People have known about vampires for a while now, well people who've found out about them have. Violet has not only heard about vampires from the books she's been reading, but also from reality. Her former best friend was turned once, but she got killed, staked of course, short after. Violet were there, witnessing every part of it. That was when she started to believe in them, vampires. It's funny because, the staker wasn't just anyone, it was her grandfather who mysteriously died a couple of days later. Violet and her brother Victor, had been living with her grandfather for the past 5 years, she didn't like her mother and her father had left, because he didn't really like her either. No one really likes Violets mother, except for herself. Kathryn, Violets mothers name is Kathryn. Violet never mention her, she doesn't even think about her. Her father though, she really can't get him off of her mind. Her grandmother died just 2 years ago. Violet never found out what was the course of her death, but her grandfather said that it was some serious disease.

Violet's a tall, brunette with sapphire blue eyes. She doesn't do anything to stand out, or look beautiful. She doesn't wear make up, she doesn't put her hair up in fancy hairstyles. She's just this boring 18 year old girl, or woman, as she would probably prefer. She's clever, smart, creative and brave, it takes a lot to trap or scare her.

Right now she's staying at her friend, Hollys. She's waiting for her father to move back to town, he heard about the grandfathers death. Violet haven't seen him for about 10 years, and yet she still loves him.

Holly's half Brazilian, she has dark brown hair and dark brown eyes, she's beautiful. She likes sports, she's not as concentrated on school as Violet. She lives with her mom, dad and older brother, Eric, and right now also Violet and Victor.

Wednesday morning it is, of Holly's 19 year old birthday.

They're off to school right at this moment, no one's home. But there's still so loud, no silence. Someone's at the door, knocking so hard that even a deaf person would be able to hear it. Instead of standing there till someone comes home, the person leaves an important note for Violet in the mailbox.

Violet's talking to this knew girl at school, she started just yesterday. Her name is Atalie, which is a swedish name. Atalie's swedish, but she haven't been there since she was a kid. “Have you heard about the vampires?” Violet asked Atalie, wondering if she even knew that they were existing. She just moved to town, maybe she hadn't got the news. “What do you mean by 'The vampires'?”

-“Yeah, you know.. They're real! I mean.. Isn't it weird how they suddenly are real, while all those shitty books are written about them? Before they were just some made up race, just to be written about, you know.”

- “No, why should they be real?”

- “I saw one.. My best friend.. Well.. She's not my best friend, but she was.. My best friend. She was turned, she was a baby vampire and those should be the most dangerous ones.. She must have been turned a week before or so..” Violet answered to Atalies question.

- “What happened?” Atalie asked.

- “I-... Why am I even telling you this? I just met you.” Violet said, laughing.

-“Come on, you can tell me.. Trust me, I'm the one to trust.” Atalie was very convincing as she spoke, though Violet just met her she told her everything. It kind of felt like she was forced to tell her, but in some other way it also felt like it would be wrong if she didn't, and that it was the right thing to do.

How her friend ran at her like a wild animal, trying to get a bite of her neck. Her grandfather who obviously already knew about vampires at that moment, who staked her, just as Violet was about to get killed. Violet, laying there screaming with her best friends blood all over her.

-“So.. Are you afraid of them?” Atalie asked, just as Violet finished explaining.

- “No, I'm not.. They might have been who took my friend and my grandfather away from me.. But no.”

- “So have anyone else seen anything to vampires around here? Except for that, of course.”

- “Yes, there have been a few dead bodys in the woods, with bite marks on their necks.”

- “Oh, I see..”

- “You got really interested in them fast, huh?” Violet said, giggling, before putting the straw from her juice into her mouth. “It's interesting right? I would love to know more about them!”

Atalie and Violet talked until the break were over, before leaving Atalie gave Violet a tight handshake. - “Thanks for the talk.. See you..” She said, walking away. Violet gasped, her hand felt so cold. How can a person be so cold, it's fall and it's beginning to get cold outside, but it's not that cold yet. “You're more than welcome, I know how it is to be new..” Violet whispered, knowing that Atalie wouldn't hear it anyway.
