-Previously-
The wicked Lord Dagianis had plotted to frame the Hero of misdeeds, as to claim the Ultimate Power that is guarded by the Goddess Hylia and her Sage.
Through his dark magic, Dagianis created a more sinister version of the Hero. He sent the Shadow to Faron Woods, and there the Chaos began.
-----------------------------------
-Faron Woods-
The Shadow moved silently though the darkness as he eyes the unsuspecting village. He grinned in pleasure of all the chaos he would now cause.
On that night.....
The Village of Hylia became stained in red.
------------------------------
-High Above the Surface-
The Goddess shot up from her slumber, hearing the cries of death from her people. She quickly looked over at the Sacred Village that she observed and saw a horrid sight.
Bodies of the villagers lied through the village, spilling the blood of young children, mothers, fathers, and elders.
Out of the corner of her eye, Hylia saw a sinister figure similar to that of the Hero. She knew that the mortals would wrongly judge him.
And with that, Hylia prepared for the worst.
------------------------------
-Temple of Hylia-
The young Sage, had awoken early before Dawn. She heard the screams of the people outside of the temple and raced to open the doors. And what she saw.....was too much.....
Bodies of villagers young and old were scattered everywhere. Blood flowed through the village like small creeks.
The Knights of Hylia raced out of their chambers and also were appalled by the sight before them.
"Who could've done such a thing?!" asked one Knight. "Who could've done such murder?!"
The young maiden spotted a young man racing towards the temple. It was the young Blacksmith, Orville. He lived in the woods not too far from the village. But surely he must've witnessed of who has killed with such brutality.
"Orville, what has happened?!" the Sage asked the weeping Blacksmith.
"A demon, Mi'lady! A demon from the Underworld has caused this!" cried the Blacksmith.
"What did he look like?" questioned one Knight.
Orville looked lost for a moment and spoke, "I don't know sir, the Demon just killed one person to the next in an inhuman speed. I only had a glimpse of him."
"It's alright, come inside we will get you cleaned up." the Sage said, gently helping the poor adolescent inside the temple, but not before asking the Knights to bury the bodies of the deceased.
----------------------------------
-Lord Dagianis' Castle-
The dark Lord smirked in accomplishment as the Shadow returned from his genocide. Said Shadow returned to the Underworld. Thus the evil Lord proceeded with his plans.
"Prepare to travel to the Village of Hylia!"
-----------------------------
-Temple of Hylia-
Link had awoken not long after the incident at the entrance of the temple. However, he did not wake pleasently.
A dark premonition haunted his dreams. He felt a dark power coming soon. And it will be more than just a raid.
It will be war....
-----------------------------
-Chamber of the Gods-
Aria had been the chamber where the Holy Relic has been hidden away. Praying to the Goddess for a sign for help and courage. She had tended to Orville long before and now she begs for the help of Hylia.
The remaining survivors from the massacre had been sheltered at the Temple until it was safe to return. But the young Sage could hear their cries and pleas.
She stood, dusting her white dress and bowing before the Goddess Statue before leaving the Chamber.
As she wandered the halls, she met with the Hero once again.
"Sage Aria, what has happened? I had asked one of the Knights, but they never answered me." asked the benevolent Hero.
Aria closed her eyes in sorrow, as tear began to we'll down her face.
"Link, someone has committed the most horrid thing, murder. Half of the Village has been murdered!" she cried, covering her face with her hands.
Link, like the rest, was appalled that there was someone out there who could do such a thing. He approached the young maiden and wrapped his arms around her. Caressing her hair and whispering comforting words to her.
The Sage cried until she had fallen asleep. No doubt that she was up all night comforting and tending to the villagers who survived.
The blonde Hero took the Sage to her room and lied her on her bed. There she could sleep comfortably.
Before the Hero left, he kissed her forehead lovingly before walking out to assist his fellow Knights.
-------------------------------
-The Next Day-
Dawn rose again upon the Land of Hylia. The Knights had just finished burying the last of the decseased, when a small militia of men in black armor approached.
Link, who was now helping at that time, drew his sword, declaring,
"STOP! IN THE NAME OF HYLIA, STATE YOUR BUSINESS!"
One horse came forth. A dark horse decorated with red rubies on its armor.
"I am Lord Dagianis! I have come to see the Sage of Hylia!"
Immediately, the Sage raced from the Temple and confronted the man.
"What brings you to the Village of Hylia, Lord Dagianis?" Aria asked the noble, unaware of his dark power.
"I've come here to discuss the one who caused pain to this Sacred Village!" Dagianis dramatically cried.
"Impossible! How could you know who did it?!" yelled a Knight. "You weren't here when it happened!"
The young Sage sighed, conflicted with solving the villagers' pleas or questioning the Lord in black.
"Very well....escort him to the Temple...." she reluctantly said, walking back inside, with Link following not too far behind.
"Aria....are you sure about this? Something about that man is giving me a bad feeling...."
"Link....I understand, I too have that bad premonition....but for now, I must comply to the pleas and figure out the one who caused this massacre."
She left the Hero in the hall and entered the room where she would speak with this mysterious newcomer.
