Identity Swap
I pulled the hood of my jacket over my dark hair. I would much rather be inside than out in this cold, rainy weather. I slipped into a small deli on the corner of the small town still big to me, since I only moved here a couple days ago. This time, moving wasn't as hard as usual. I have many connections to people who live or have lived here. As I made my way inside, I walked straight to the back as I was told I should do and I pushed through a heavy, cold, steel door.
The room I had just stepped into was full of smoke and it reeked of weed. I walked up to the small make-shift counter. The man behind it looked up at me and stifled a chuckle.
"Aren't you a bit too young to be here little girl?"I glared at him. I may be young but I can certainly knock him and all of his druggie friends out in a flash.
"You want to change your identity?" he asks through fits of laughter. Now the whole room was looking at me, laughing, making me even angrier.
"Why else would I be here" I replied through gritted teeth.
"ooo someones getting sassy" the man snorted. "But lets get on shall we? What's your name little girl?" he asked looking down at his book.
"Piper Autumn Winthrop" I stated in a monotonous voice. The man snapped his head up to look at me, his eyes wide, almost pleading me for forgiveness from his earlier jokes.
