Chapter 8: The Truth Behind It All

Robin was sulking on the curb and Neal was kicking trash around the curb. "I can't believe this." Neal said. "We've been living a lie about our parents." Robin said. "Yeah, and all of a sudden these people turn out to be our parents and they want us to suddenly forgive them for abandoning us?" Neal said while kicking a soda can into the street. 

"I just want to know the truth." Robin said. "About it all." "For example, why did they leave us on the step of the orphanage and act like we shouldn't have been." Robin said "Exactly." Neal replied.

"Oh, I can help you with that" Said a woman in a sparkly purple dress from behind. Robin turned around and said "Go away." "But, I am here to tell you the truth. About everything that happened to you and you're parents." "Hey aren't you the woman from inside the house?" Neal asked. "Sort of." She said. " I am just the better half." She said. 

"Can you tell us why we ended up in the orphanage in the first place?" Neal asked. 

"Well, you're parents were just trying to protect you from the darkness." "What darkness are you relating to?" Robin asked. "Dark magic" the woman said "But, there's no such thing as magic" Neal said. 

"But, there is" the woman said. "What about the strange things that had been happening to Robin when she was angry or scared." "Hey, how do you know about that?" Robin asked. "I know everything." the woman said. 

"How come our parents said that nobody gave us up?" Neal asked. 

"Well, after that they felt guilty and they wanted it to seem like a miss understanding." the woman said. "They lied to us?" Neal asked. "Of course they would." Robin said. "There our parents. That's what parents do." Robin said

"Get away from them, Evil Queen." said Regina from behind. Along with the black haired woman, the brown haired man, the ginger woman, and Emma. "Why did you lie to us." Robin asked. "Lie to you? We didn't lie. Who told you that." Emma asked. Robin pointed to the Evil queen on the left of her. "She told us that you lied to us just to make it seem like a misunderstanding."

"No, That's not true." said Snow. "Prove it." Robin said. "Then why would we have "Missing" posters with you and Neal on it." Robin thought about it for a minuet, then realized that the children on the cover were infants. "That was two babies on the cover." Robin said. "Not us."
"Then why does it have your names on the cover." Regina said. 

Robin looked for a poster that had them on it and it had there exact names. It said. "Robin Hood and Neal White" 

" This can't be true." Robin said.  "It said that we've disappeared 12 days ago." Robin said.

"Oh, is it really hard for you to figure it out?" The Evil Queen asked. "What do you mean?" Robin asked. "I set you inside a time curse." "Its been 12 years for you, but 12 days for them." The evil queen explained. 

"You set up another curse like you did to us?" Snow asked. "Yep" The Evil Queen replied. "Why did you do it?" Zelena asked. "Now, that's a question that will never be answered." the Evil Queen explained. Then she waved her hand over her head and vanished. Neal and Robin didn't believe what they just saw. 

"What just happened." Robin asked. "Well,if we told us you wouldn't believe us." Regina said. "I think I will now after what I've experienced." Robin said. "Yeah, so do I." Neal said. 

They all went back to the house and talked. "There was a spell that cursed us into not knowing who we truly were." Regina said. "Who are you truly?" Neal asked. "We are the characters from a book called ONCE UPON A TIME" Snow said. "Which characters" Neal asked. "Well, I was the evil queen." Regina said. "But, the Evil Queen isn't you." Robin said. "She just lied to us just now." Neal said. "I drank a serum which split us in half." Regina explained. "Oh, that makes perfect sense" Neal said.

 "I was Snow white." Snow said. "You do look the part." Robin said. "I was Prince Charming, but my real name is David." David said.  "Cool" Neal said. 

"I was the Wicked Witch Of The West." Zelena said. "Regina and I are sisters." "If you were the Wicked Witch Of The West, I would of expected you to be more Wicked." Robin said. "I've changed" Zelena explained. "Ever sense you came into the picture I've had a change of heart" Zelena said to Robin. "I'm sorry you've missed 12 years of my life." Robin said. 

A boy came into the room. He wore a red plaid collared shirt, jeans, had dark brown hair, and brown eyes. "Who's this" the boy asked. "Henry, this is Robin and Neal." Snow said. "Wait, do you mean Zelena's Robin and your Neal?" Henry asked. "Yes, they were in a time curse, so they've grown 12 years instead of 12 days." Regina explained. Henry looked over at Neal and Robin. As soon as Robin hit Henry's eyes, she was entranced. "Hi. I'm Henry." Henry said. "Hey, I'm Neal." Neal said. "I know" Henry said. "And You must be Robin." He said. "How can you tell." Robin blushed. "You have the eyes of your mother, and your father's hair." Henry explained. 

Robin noticed that only Zelena was in the picture and didn't see anyone who could be her father. "Where is my father?" Robin asked. Regina's eyes dimmed and they rest frowned. "I'm sorry Robin, but your father was killed by the Olympian crystal. He was sacrificing his life for Regina." Zelena said. Robin's eyes teared up and said "He really is a hero." Robin said. "Who was my father anyway?" she asked. "You're father was none other than the famous Robin Hood." Regina said. "No wonder I have that name." Robin said. "You received your name after your father died. I named you during the funeral." Zelena said. "At least I was at the Funeral." Robin said hopefully. "Who killed my father?" Robin asked. "Hades, the god of the underworld." Regina said. "He was also killed by the Olympian crystal." Regina explained. "If he was still alive, I would kill him like he did my father!" Robin yelled. "But, I'm glad you did it for me." Robin said. "Otherwise, things would have gone ugly real quick. Robin explained.
