-Kara-

"Cheers."

Our bottles of butter beer clinked as we brought them together, then I raised mine to my lips. Mmmmmmmmmmm I love butter beer. Lily took a sip and put hers down on the table, flicking her hair and leaning back in her seat watching me in amusement as I continued to drink, only stopping when half the bottle had been drunk. I set the bottle down and said, "That was soooooooo good."

Lily laughed. "I swear if someone was going to avada you, you would ask to finish your butter beer before they do it."

"Yeah of course! I mean, it would be my final minute, I would want it to be a good one."

Lily smiled, then frowned and said in a low voice, "Marauders, 11 o'clock."

I turned in my chair to see a group of four boys amble into the pub and head straight for the counter. My eyes lingered on the second tallest one, with unruly black hair down to his shoulders and a confident smirk playing on his lips. His grey eyes swept the pub, coming to a rest on my brown ones, which I quickly redirected to the table. His smirk widened and he called to his friend, who had just paid for the drinks and was looking for a table. At Black's call, James Potter found our table and began walking towards us with a smile, his glasses glinting in the light.

I cleared my throat. "We have company," I growled towards Lily, who looked behind her and groaned.

"Hello ladies," said Potter, ruffling his hair and pulling out on of the chairs at our table. "May you grace us with your beautiful presences?"

"No." Lily got up from the table and picked up her bag throwing it over her shoulder. "Come on Kara, lets go."

"Hey, don't leave on my account," said someone behind me. I got up and saw Sirius Black holding a butter beer in one hand, the other in his pocket. I glared at him, ignoring the fuzzy feeling that was welling up in my heart. "Hey Kara," he said, winking at me. My glare hardened and I left with Lily, pretending to not hear the shouts after us as we walked swiftly out of the pub and back up to the school.

"I hate him!"

"Yeah, you said Lils."

It was around eleven o'clock and Lily hadn't stopped ranting about 'that stupid toerag potter' since we got back from Hogsmead... 5 hours ago.

I was lying on my bed, reading Little Women in my pyjamas whilst Lily paced up and down with smoke coming out of her ears. Alice was sat at the end of her bed wearing a pink nightie trying to consule her. I had learnt long ago that the best thing to do for Lily when she got into a rage was to let it burn itself out. Anyway, I don't know why she hates James and Sirius so much. I mean, yeah they bully Sev, but he brings it on himself by trying to curse them. And its not as if he has ever gotten really badly hurt, is it? I found most of their jokes quite funny, like when they flirt with McGonagall. And Sirius... well, I have had my heart broken by him once and am never going to fall for him again. Though I'm not entirely sure I ever did stop loving him.

-Remus-

"They totally love us."

I rolled my eyes. "That's exactly why they walked away from you."

Sirius just looked at me, trying to come up with a retort. He finally settled on, "Shut up Moony."

Peter sniggered, though I'm not sure why. I do wonder about him sometimes.

"Did you see Lily glaring at me?" James sighed from his bed. He was lying on his back staring at the ceiling, a goofy smile plastered on his face.
