"It's weird how some fan fiction can get me sucked into the story..."
Shadows danced around your dimly lit room as you continue to hold your gaze on the computer screen. You continue browsing through the web looking for nothing in particular as you scroll through thousands of fan fictions about England. You can't place your finger on why you liked him. He just seemed to have a charm that made you feel like he stood out from the rest.
A small smile graced your lips as you stop scrolling to find one story that looked like it could keep you entertained for a while. You check the time at the corner of your screen, 1:17 am. Damn. Making a quick promise to yourself to sleep after you finish the story, you click on the fan fiction.
After a few minutes of reading, you finished the last sentence of the fan fiction and checked the time again, 1:26 am. "...I have enough time for one more" you quietly mutter as you discard your half hearted promise from before and continued your search for another story.
"It's weird how it can get my mind to imagine a story unfolding between the two of us"
As you continue your hunt for fan fiction, you begin to remember how the stories have told you how you first met the tsundere man with his blonde hair and bushy eyebrows. Your first impressions did not turn out so well as the first thing you tried to do was to touch his eyebrows. England was furious at first but flushed bright red when you exclaimed how fluffy they felt.
Your mind wandered to another story where England tried to make what you would assume to be a pastry. When he tried to give it to you, his face was flushed and he had trouble speaking full sentences. The poor British man fainted when you uttered a thank you and pecked him on the cheek. When he woke up, he immediately asked if you liked the pastry. You didn't have the heart to tell him you could only handle one bite of his pastry before turning green. You could only give a smile and say it had a "unique" taste.
There was also that story where England confessed his love to you and then scurried off, not giving you the chance to speak. England walked up to you and apologized the next day saying he left in such a hurry because he suddenly remembered he had an "appointment" to attend to. He was obviously bluffing but you couldn't help but smile and say you loved him as well.
A chuckle escapes your lips as your mind went from one story to the next. England always seemed to have some troubles showing his affection. It's not like you mind though. You thought it would be adorable to see his face heat up if you ever got the chance to shower him with love.
"It's weird how... I long to be near him but know there is no chance to ever meet him."
You checked the time at the corner of your screen, 3:08 am. You sigh and shut down the laptop before climbing into bed. Better get some sleep now or get no sleep at all. You face plant on your pillow as you begin to reflect on your own thoughts.
Fan fiction can't replace the love you can feel if he was actually beside you. They can never create the level of emotions you feel if someone actually confessed to you. You can't hear his angry tantrums or his soft whispers. You can't feel his hugs or kisses. There is no possible way for fan fiction to create a love that will make you feel complete. In fact, it makes you feel hollow inside... but what can you do? It's probably the closest thing that you can ever get with the guy.
'The truth hits hard' you thought as you give a small yawn before closing your eyes and turning your body to your side. Before you let sleep take over, you felt something sink onto your bed. Maybe it was because you were sleep deprived but you could have sworn you felt hot breath against your ear and hear a faint voice with a British accent whisper:
"Get some sleep, love."
