He had warned her about the book. Now it's too late. Lana hadn't meant to release Her, she just wanted a book to read. She never even believed in stuff like these. How could she have been so blind? Now she was doomed and no one could save her. Thump, thump, drag. It's Her. Thump, thump, drag. She didn't want it to end like this. Thump, thump, drag. Lana tried to shrink against the wall and disappear into the shadows of the attic. Creeeak. "She found me", thought Lana as the door slowly opened. Lana's breathing became shallow as she waited for Her to find her. After seconds of silence, she decided to peer over the box she was hiding behind. That's when she came face to face with Her. Lana had never seen Her face to face, only shadows of Her in her room at night, and always next to the book. Her was the most horrendous thing Lana had ever seen. Her eyes were like oversized black marbles on Her small, childlike frame. Her hair was coated with something that looked disturbingly like dried blood. No, Lana knew it was dried blood, she could smell the metallic scent of blood. And Her lips... God her lips. If you could even call them that. There was no visible lips, just the shadow of lips before something or someone ripped them out and left them hanging on the side of her mouth. Blood oozed from the exposed flesh as if it was only recently this happened. Her shark-like teeth were fully exposed. Lana slowly got up, trembling with fear. She knew what was coming, she read the book. The cursed book that brought Her here. A book of the stories of all her victims, including Lana herself. Lana hadn't figured it out until it was too late. Now she will die. Her, with her blood stained white dress and her doll on her left hand, started to laugh. That laugh was what released all her fears. Lana couldn't hold it in any longer, she couldn't stay brave. She was going to die. God, I'm only 16! It can't be this way. She screamed, letting out all the fear that she has been bottling up for the last 3 months. Everything suddenly stopped. She felt a sharp pain on her chest. She looked down to see that there was blood oozing from her chest, where her heart was located. Lana looked at Her only to see Her was holding Lana's heart as Her's laughter increased. Then there was darkness.
